Got into the Fonda show, thanks to Bjornulf posting that they wanted people to give them their personal anecdotes about Sticky Fingers.

IORR got me into the IORR Band...

I'm really thankful and happy that this happened,
Because of this I met a group of great/funny/lunatic people which I hope to meet again soon

Got to know a few great friends and have learned so much about the Stones its unbelievable.

I obtained a bootleg CD of the show I attended at the LA Forum, November 1969, the first show. Listening to it really solidified my memories of that spectacular night.

Pub crawling with Gazza in Belfast, getting a tour of rockman's bunker, going to shows with sweetcharmedlife, visiting and meeting many others on this site, and last, but certainly not least....as I said, certainly not least....Jamming with you roller!

Oh, and I almost forgot to mention, having a beer with bv after he posted a picture of a pub that was less than a five minute walk from my house!

It confirmed my long held suspicion that I am not the sole surviving Stones fan alive on the planet. I always knew there was another one somewhere, it was just a question of how and when we made contact........

Truly great group of people over here. It's a great community here, and hats off to bv for making this all possible over these years.

Thx to IORR I dug out the old bicycle from the tool shed... >< (when the band rehearsed 2km from my home I used to go there by bike).

And I met Bjornulf! And thx to BV's advice I quit smoking!
IORR saved my life!

Just talk. Even off topic or small talk. Practising the written word of English. Being able to communicate with people from all over the world sharing a common interest.
Getting to know (well, somewhat) profiles like Rockman, Dandelion, Doxa, MSR50, GSL and other good people (no one forgotten).

From Connections...to Coming Down Again, I wouldn't trade what I've gained from IORR for all the tea in China, and I love tea!
It's been an incredible journey and I'm deeply grateful to all who have shared their stories, expertise, good humor, and friendship.
Here's to many more years of chatting about the Stones and complaining about ticket prices.

Thanks for giving me a chuckle, hah-hah!

IORR (and by extension BV) has allowed a bit of money to be raised to help various good causes, for which I am and will always be very grateful.

Outside of that, it's gotta be the sense of community and also the very real and excellent people that I've met. Long may you run...

Rediscovering the Stones as individuals musically, and how they interacted after 34+ years of hardly listening / following them . I discovered iorr.org in 2009.

The best thing is that my wife and I are not the only people crazy enough to travel to see multiple shows on a tour.

The opportunity to go to a city and country we may not go to otherwise. One night we have a Stones date and the rest of the time we are tourists. It has opened our eyes how great a place the world is to see.There are so may great places we have been to, such as:
2015 - San Diego, Columbus, Nashville, Kansas City, Detroit
2016 - Santiago, Mexico City, Havana (me only) Desert Trip, Vegas
2017 - Barcelona, Amsterdam, Paris 3

And for this year, we have tickets to all the below but Dublin and if they get the license we will get tickets.
2018 - Dublin (I hope), London, Marseille, Stuttgart, Prague, Warsaw

I am already hoping for 2019, if not the US, where we live, but I would really like to go to Hong Kong or Singapore if they go to Asia.

We are so excited to go to all the cities we plan to see this year.

Sure what surprised me is how varied the taste ofus super-fans is!
For example songs I saw as "great achievements" by me ('Infamy" comes to mind) were derided by others.

Finding out about the Facebook sales for the 2012 O2 shows and getting a pit ticket for the first concert. Ended up on the front row, for a show I’d been waiting five years to happen

Norhing special as in getting club gig tickets or meet awesome people. But i do get a lot of positive feelings discussing my all time favorite band with people who are just as passionate as me. Love it.

getting a lot of good outtakes, meeting/posting with nice people, selling my GA Ticket(amsterdam 2017) to someone on IORR. So, i felt allright with getting a PIT Ticket instead.
Getting good advice on visiting places on the next tour.

great to be a Stones fan, and to be able to commucicate about it on IORR.

when i got into the stones in 1987 i felt i was the only 1, all my friends and people near my age were into different things and i felt different and left out. it took me till the hampden gig in 1990 to feel i was part of something and not just the last fan standing.

A killer bootleg collection thanks to all the generous people on here! And a big thanks to UrbanSteel for the beginning of my collection!
