Charlie's rather chatty

Thanks. Charlie just called Sir Michael Peter Pan (running around in front of me...)!

Charlie on the new album (paraphrase):
"We did a session for the new album, we did another session for the new album, then we did the Blue and Lonesome sessions,
then we did another session for the new album, but we still don't know where the new album is" (Charlie and Ronnie both laugh).

Thanks for the reminder! I only caught a bit but that was fun. Fun to see Charlie & Ronnie so relaxed and enjoying being around each other.

Some strange things being said at the end of that interview, Charlie saying they have done loads and loads of sessions for the new album and asking to Ronnie where has the album gone, Ronnie quickly changed the subject to their Grammy Award.

Then i think Charlie said something like Micks not allowed to sing the new songs live and laughed with Ronnie about it.

I cant for the life of me work out why they haven't pushed this album out with a new single to coincide with the publicity of this tour. One would complement the other, the tour and the album.

This was a great interview! I love seeing Charlie & Ronnie joking around like that & really wish there were more interviews where Charlie took the reins.

Now I'm wondering... when will they release the new album?

poor interview – a good example how important a real good interviews is. Just reading questions but not reacting on the answers dosn't make no sense. He should have aksed more about the new album.

The only really funny part of the interview is right at the beginning when Charlie doubts that Keith ever posted anything online

That interview was a gas. Charlie is their secret weapon to take the piss out of everything Stones related. He's always been that way, especially so now that he's a senior citizen. I would love to have heard some of the hilarious conversations Charlie and Bill had about Mick and Keith.

You can kind of see a bit of that in some of the old music videos. Charlie and Bill looking at each other rolling their eyes and smirking without saying a word - can't help but think they have an inside joke between them about their "bosses".

This interview showed a much different side of Charlie. He's usually so indifferent and ill at ease with interviewers, but here, he's relatively loquacious and even playful. Utterly delightful to see...maybe having Ronnie at his side kept him loose.
