On the TGV from Avignon to Strasbourg for Stuttgart tomorrow. Amazing how many people have seen the Stones recently or in the past when you start talking to them. Lady next to me is French but saw them 15 years ago in Portland Oregon where she lives, thinking it was the last time. Said she was first one on her feet singing after thinking ‘surely they are too old’ before the show. She said ‘say hi to Mick’ when leaving the train at Lyon. Most fans are not IORR devotees, but love the music, as we know.

Another encounter was at La Voile Rouge beach bar on the spit of land between Sete and Agde, 2 hours from Marseille. A 30 yr old female and her boyfriend somehow started talking to us (there aren’t many English voices there) and it turns out she was the daughter of Charlie’s daughter’s cleaner, and had backstage pass access at London 2. She then whipped out the Stones beach bag freebie from the show. Like many attendees, hadn’t seen them before and declared it the best thing she’d ever seen.

The lady running the b’n’b I stayed at in Aix saw them 15 years ago in Hong Kong, she didn’t think they give it their all that night. I told her they’d given it there all on each of the 6 shows I’ve seen this year (plus Paris 2, that crazy show). And the stories go on...

cool stories indeed.

so there is a friends and family suite in every stadium. what happens there? anyone who has experience? Have seen matt lee with a pass walking in the pit so i guess he is friend

Does anyone know if there's wifi in the train from Paris to Stuttgart?!

Paris-Marseille has wifi, Paris-Bordeaux has wifi, Paris-Brest DOES NOT have wifi. Would like to make sure beforehand so that I don't bring my portable laptop for nothing!

In case it's ICE, there should be WiFi, for TGV, I don't know.
