Official Stuttgart T-Shirt:

Heilig's Blechle .... smiling smiley

another poor and uninspired T-shirt/poster design. Nothing subtile… (although the poster looks better _ see: [store.digitalstores.co.uk] )

a tongue in Kehrblech-design would have been far better.

Anyway: Good news is that I won't be seduced to spend money on a poster/T-shirt

Heiligs Blechle.... indeed. Now we can focus on spending money on sth else.

They are performing at Stuttgart, Neckarstadion/Mercedes Benz Arena for the third time. The first time was on June 19, 1976, their first stadium concert ever!

If they played Fool to cry they would repeat this song almost exactly after 42 years in the same spot! (I have the old audience cassette recording somewhere with Fool to cry in decent Quality but the Stuttgart 1976 Show was also available on a bootleg).

Does anybody know what's the best entrance for GA? There are 6 entrances...

Depends on from where you come:

If you use the S-Bahn via Neckarpark-Station and then the Fritz-Walter-Weg, the entrances D4 / D6 would be the best .... Google Maps .

Thanks Irix! Shouldn't be a problem to walk around the stadium though. But maybe some entrances are already closer to the rail than others?

hm, somehow strange since Kasse 3 seems to be outside the arena on the other side of the road. Thus there doesn't seem to be a direct entrance from Kasse 3 to the stadium (unlike in Berlin but like in Dublin and London)

True. Maybe they just hand us the PIT tickets and we can go ahead.

Schwonek, did the e-mail tell you what time the Lucky Dips can be picked up?

I didn't get any e-mail yet.

I guess everyone got the eventim mail by now:

On Saturday, June 30th, 2018 “The Rolling Stones” will be coming with their "No Filter" tour to the Mercedes Benz Arena Stuttgart.

Below is a list of detailed information you’ll need to review in order to collect your Lucky DIP tickets.
Please pick up your Lucky Dip tickets at the box-office. Please see the attached map for your reference.
You can collect your Lucky Dip tickets from 5pm on.
We will be using strict anti-scalper measures to ensure that these tickets go to Stones fans and don't end up on the resale market with wildly inflated prices. We appreciate your attention to the following, so that you have the best experience possible.
Your photo ID, confirmation number, and the credit card used to make the purchase are required for pick-up. You will not be permitted to pick up your tickets without these three (3) items.
You must pick up your tickets in person, along with your guest.

And here it is: Kasse 3 (aka PIT-box:-)

A question to those who went to Berlin: did they actually escort you inside once you had your Lucky Dips?

I know, I know, standard wording, but this is what the e-mail says:

Sie müssen Ihre Tickets persönlich und zusammen mit Ihrem Gast abholen. Sobald Sie Ihre Tickets erhalten haben, werden Sie in den Veranstaltungsort eskortiert. Es wird keine Möglichkeit geben, mit Ihren Tickets den Veranstaltungsort zu verlassen

yes – the box office was right at the entrance (between the gate to the box office and the entrance to the venue were max. 3 meters)
(the pictures of Stuttgart indicate the same)

they handed me the tickets over the counter and a security took them immediately from me to scan them. I don't know what they would have done if I would have asked to walk away with the tickets but the security was right there to take them.

OK thanks. Seems like the only instances where that actually happens are the Germany shows.

Looks like great weather for Saturday. I might turn up early for the Lucky Dip queue (think 4 PM)

In Berlin they handed the tickets without any envelope. Maybe you can ask for changhing your ticket if it's not pit...

this won't work.
The LD tickets for Berlin seemed to be printed in a "top to bootom" order: Pit B tickets were on the top, Pit B tickets came after them and it seemed to have ended with GA. Thus if you didn't get pit there weren't anymore pit tickets available…

I think its same as in Berlin, one entrance is for Lucky Dip (all Pit in Berlin smiling smiley). You get the tickets there and go into the stadoium directly.

Nevermind, above says kasse 3.

1999 Stuttgart remains my favorite gig out of 54 Stones concerts. 2006 also was great. I'm sure Saturday will be amazing. Hope they will pull out one rare song though.
