I will ask to the promoter, but the english page says no professional camera...

Do you have an answer from GDP about cameras in Marseille ?

Hi

The promoter says no particular rules in Marseille, the same as for the rest of the tour in terms of bag sizes etc...

Stadium is a bit "weak" in explanation because in french the rules seem more restrictive than in english. Pocket photo cameras are said to be OK.
Of course DSLR's or cameras with changeable lenses are 100% NOT OK.

@Doc: thanks for camera update.

GDP (aka gavé de pognon) is known for his high prices but not for any other crazy restrictions.

Thank you.

Weather forecast for tuesday (70% prob.) : sunny, 28° in the afternoon, maybe windy but as the Velodrome has a huge and high roof, not so much air is coming from the outside.

Good news for cameras, the smaller the better of course to avoid any hassle. G7x is getting pretty large but not as bad as the FZ200 !

In one week we'll be reeling from the show, thinking it might be the last time...can't wait to be there ! BTW I'm sorted for my tix thanks to a kind soul here, will be in PIT B with my daughter !

Welcome to the PIT B. Seems there will be a lot of Bondy people there. Pit B means Pit Bondy?

Thanks and that must be it for Pit B ;-)

Do we need to take ID matching the name on the ticket? This was the case for Barcelona last year...

There's nothing about it written on the ticket

Looks we're still good (assumed most will fly after the weekend). Still I don't have a good feeling about this...

ATC are on strike since many months. Especially the weekend.
It was the case last weekend, it's also the case this weekend and it'll be too next weekend.
Airlines trafic is OK during the week.

SNCF strikes are now a little less annoying in big cities for workers, and on TGV lines the trafic is quite normal (today it's another strike day and 90 % of the TGV are normally scheduled).

And this is a huge problem.
Marseille ATC are in charge of all the south east of France trafic (including international trafic just crossing this area).
And the ATC strike in Marseille is always "hard".

And they are also in charge of the trafic for private planes and jets on the little airport very close to the Circuit Paul Ricard.

I don't know.

(it's a very busy day for my buddy this tuesday, so we have seated tickets)

For international sports events, supporters usually are going in two irish pubs on the Vieux Port (quai de Rive Neuve, both are close from each other) : O'Malley and The Shamrock.
They are opening sooner for big sports events (usual opening hour is 4 PM), I dunno for this Rolling Stones show.

There is another irish pub, smaller, half a mile from the Velodrome, O'Bradys, 378 Avenue de Mazargues (this one opens at 11 AM)

Monday eve we probably meet up here [www.thequeenvictoria.fr]

It's right next to the pubs O'Malley's and the temple bar
and only about 50mtrs from the shamrock.

The Queen does food as well (the other pubs do not)

On Tuesday it's nicer to hang out at the vieux port/center, then around the stadium.
from there it's easy to go to the concert by metro (1 change), takes 10-15 mns.
(get your tickets from the machine as soon as you get to Marseille
as to not stand in line when It gets busy!)

best bar near the stadium is O bradey's. +they do (simple) food.
(other than that there are several bars/bistro's)

Unions have the right to go on strike, of course. Stop disrespecting them for this. Don't behave like imitations of Marie Antoinette...

In fact nothing I’d like better this fine Sunday than to be here:

‘Notre-Dame de la Garde (literally: Our Lady of the Guard) is a Catholic basilica in Marseille, France, and the city's best-known symbol.’

Incredible-

Le Corbusier hommage, the fabulous Cité Radieuse is just up the road from the Velodrome, stayed in the hotel there for Macca in 2015. The lithograph is the same apparently. Does someone know how much they go for? 200 printed for each show apparently?

Please DO NOT use this thread or other Tell Me forum threads for ticket sales. There is a separate forum for trading tickets on IORR called "All Sold Out". See the home page link.

I will delete ticket trading posts here, and delete the posting access if needed.
