Hello,
Outta work by lunchtime and then throwing myself at the mercy of Northern Trains (loved that MJ took the piss at their expense on Tuesday night, hah-hah!)...if all goes ok then it'll be Bannerman's later on.
Safe travels everyone and best of luck if you're LD merchants!
Cheers,
Simon.

As a born and bred native but living down South, I’m already here, having arrived from Manchester yesterday evening. I’m staying in my hometown of Hamilton, Lanarkshire which has a wee bit of Rolling Stones history, hosting this chaotic show in 1964 (Bill remembers it well!) :

What’s more, I’m writing this from the very spot where it took place. The hotel which hosted this wild show (my mum who was then 21 knew people who went) was burnt down a few years later and is now a Housing Estate and I’m staying there with my cousin. Apparently the then 20 year old Keith, addressing thr audience said, “Oh this is a nice room !)
I went to Edinburgh University 30 years ago and am also a keen Hearts supporter, regularly travelling North for home games at our Tyncastle ground, very close to Murrayfield. In fact we played a few games ourselves there last season while our ground was being reconstructed. I know that part of Edinburgh very well so I’m hugely excited about seeing the Stones on home turf.
For those visiting Edinburgh for the first time, enjoy it. It’s a beautiful city and known as the ‘Athens of the North’.
