There's only one tram. It leaves from the airport and stops right at Haymarket. Takes about 25 minutes or so.

Or you could take the bus, but there are roadworks at Haymarket at the moment so I think the buses are diverted.

Harm, they should try on twitter. Follow axs_uk and they will DM your friend back. Your friend should send them as many tweets as possible with @axs_uk

Still in Manchester, but heading North at 1pm for my 1st visit to my homeland in 4 months. Will stay in my original hometown of Hamilton, Lanarkshire so trip will double up as a visit to relatives. Looking forward to this one. Will feel strange (and good) to see the Stones’ stage and general circus roll into my home Capital after seeing it all around the rest of the U.K. and Europe.

Would be nice if Mick gave Ian Stewart and his contribution to the band a wee mention on stage. Hopefully he will.

Hello all--

I am new to posting on this blog but have been a follower for a couple years. Pleased to meet you! I am a younger Stones fan (23) from the States who has been trying to "catch up" in the last few years what I have missed from not being around for most of their touring days. I am in Edinburgh for the show Saturday to party in Pit B and treat my parents to what hopes to be a great gig! I am looking forward to hopefully meeting some of you in person. Was in the front pit Keith's side for both Desert Trip shows-- I'm guessing a few of you were there too. I will be at the Dirty Strangers show tomorrow night as well.

A question to those of you that have been in the pit for this part of the tour-- I would really like to get up close on the rail with my folks as they will want to lean on something most likely and have unblocked sight lines (my mom is not so tall), but if I recall at the desert trip shows, there was a tradeoff being in the front corner of the pit as you were closest to the stage but couldn't see so well beyond Keith's side and the front part of the catwalk (even seeing Charlie was tough) due to the height of the stage. Plus, there was a camera guy and a couple monitors as well.

Would you all recommend we shoot for that front corner area on Saturday, or is it better to be further back on the rail along the catwalk? I don't want to get stuck behind some tall blokes if we move back, but I like the idea of being able to "take in the stage scene" more in full, so I wonder if being on the side catwalk rail will be a better play? Please advise! We will be there when they open to queue.

Thanks, and looking forward to future discussions with you all!

-Ben

In my opinion it's better to hang farther back in the pit, just about down the middle of the catwalk. You see the whole stage without obstruction, Mick comes over all the time. This is the exact spot I had in London #1 and #2 in Pit B.

TBH I haven't actually been at the very front corner at all this tour but I'm hearing it's not the best spot as far as the view goes. You basically see only half of the stage and yes, cameramen, equipment etc. blocking even that restricted view.

Hi Ben, Im with Topi on this one..better to be a lttle further back so you can take more in. If, like me and mrz Radar you like to dance you will get more room for your elbowshot smiley

When we arrived we could have been up against front rail or second to that, but no way were we going to do that, just to say we were there - we came to party!drinking smiley
