They landed this afternoon after a 20 minutes flight from Birmingham, staying at the Radisson hotel in the city centre, which used to be the 'Free Trade Hall' where Dylan was heckled 'Judas' in 1965. Jagger didn't arrive with the rest of the band. Lots of people seem to be snapping up the remaining £60 and £80 tickets, word has got around how great this tour has been so far.

Truly rockstars are different! It's amazing to me that they would use a plane and all the hassles of flying to do a journey that would take less than 2 hours by car and allow them and their families flexibility of individual transport. I guess it must be cheaper to transport the freight of the tour by plane than road and the principals just tag along for the ride?

I had the same thoughts why they used the plane for this short distance. Logistical reasons may be and different world....But as far as I know, at least they pay their dues to climate change by travelling with plane..

I think they use the plane because it is mainly cargo i.e. guitars, stage stuff etc. I don't think Keith can take his 70 guitars in a car or on the tyrain, the overhead lockers are sort of too small.

Once the plane is there, you might as well have some people in the seats, they like to have the band together on the tour, even if I understand they have been enjoying "being at home" also now.

Good thing too, judging by the quality of the shows they are all bonding well.. Hell they should even take the plane to the local chip shop when they are feeling peckish, as far as I'm concerned .

Guessing there is no song vote for tomorrow ? I would love to hear Star Star (not that it would of been an option, let alone a winning one) so will they do one of the losing ones from Coventry vote? Dancing With Mr D is my bet

Arrived in Manchester from Nottingham an hour ago and now settled into my hotel. I don’t know Manchester at all so looking forward to exploring. I’ve only once previously visited Old Trafford - a day trip from Swindon 25 years ago when it was barely half the size it is today.

I'd Love to see Bitch or Sweet Virginia - they played that in the Arena back in 2003 - first show at the age of 15.

I have been at home for 12h washing my cloths and then having a couple of business meeting it feels wrong to be out of the tour so luckily I am now on a complicated travel back to Manchester through Bergen. Then I will check out places to meet in the city. Suggestions welcome please. Cheap beer, good food, central city location and space is all we need.

I can recommend Cask Bar on Liverpool Road.

Great beers, good dukebox and decent outdoor terrace. 5 minute walk to the metrolink station that takes you to near Old Trafford (either Altrincham line to Old Tarfford or Eccles line to Exchange Quay).

For those on a budget Sinclairs in the city centre (just opposite Selfridges) and with the sunshine it will be a great place to meet lots of outdoor seating. Not sure about near the venue, I avoid Trafford like the plague.

Hello,

Defo all four from me: however, I'll pick 'Sweet V.' above the rest.

All together now, "...Got to scrape the sh!t right off my shoes..."!

Cheers,

Simon.

Don't suppose it matters much. LSTNT will walk it. Its the only one casual fans and their concert companions will know
