plan is if i have to go to Manchester

fly over early on the 5th June and back early on the 6th June

I booked a room in the victoria warehouse hotel which is about 5 min walk to the stadium

Ive been to manchester a few times but never this part, is the tram near the hotel/stadium

Tram links everywhere, really accessible.

Yes, you're about a 5 minute walk from exchange quay metrolink station.

Tram stops at Old Trafford, Trafford Bar, Pomona and Exchange Quay are all a short walk from the stadium.

Some fans will no doubt 'walk out' to the stadium from the city centre too (2 miles).

For those wanting something different (and possibly cheaper), Altrincham is a 20 minute tram ride from the stadium and one of the more 'thriving' suburbs/towns around Manchester.

It seems to me that anyone going up to Edinburgh from Manchester should/could stop off for a couple of days in the Lake District, an easy train ride from Manchester (Bowness-on-Windermere).

But, they just have to... My plans revolve around both shows! Hahaha!

Got 4 tickets today £99 each. High up on Keith’s side. I had to go. I can walk there.
I hope KR has a good night. 2nd date of tour and a long gap since the first night at Olympic Park. Although there is a news story today in the Telegraph where he claims not to have had a drink since Christmas!

selling pretty well by the looks - 930 UK time and on TM, no standing tickets at any proce and best seats left are in mid price range (130 quid)
On AXS general admission, cheapest (60 quid) and most expensive (180) seats gone

Is there a train route from the airport?

Your best bet might be to get the 'Railair' coach to Reading, and then a train from Reading to Manchester - cheaper than going through London, I'd imagine.

If you check the virgin trains website you may get cheap train tickets from London Euston to Manchester. Singles usual work out cheaper than returns.

Another alternative is the 'magic bus' but it's anything but magic. Hardly any legroom and takes about two hours than the train. Cheap as chips though.

Second show on 02 June ? Any news ?

My plan (for now) -Heathrow Express to London (15 min) then train to Manchester (£26 advance purchase) If all goes well, arrival at hotel near stadium 12:30ish.

Just noticed on ticket page show starts at 4 ??
I'm thinking thats when doors open.. but not sure.

Yeah thats doors. The Stones won't on be on until at least 20:30 I'd imagine.

Guys why don't you just take a flight from Heathrow to Manchester?
British Airways have 8 flights a day from Heathrow to Manchester and you can buy a single or return for under £100.
This would be much more convenient for you and by the time you have paid for the expensive Heathrow express train into Paddington station you then have to get the tube to Euston and catch another train to Manchester.
Much easier to fly up there.

Found one for £78 one way that would work for me.
Still more than double the shuttle/train costs for me, but may be worth it for less stress and arrival and hour earlier.

Hitting Manchester through Twickenham, trying my best to keep the travel costs to a min.,but this "splurge" may very well be worth it.

Yeah popped up again we’re showing as sold out earlier. For various reasons can’t make Edinburgh, Cardiff, 2nd London or twickenham so was hoping to round out my two lots of tickets so far with 2nd Manchester and/or Coventry. Fingers crossed for one or both of them!

I'm arriving at Heathrow on 1st June, so just hopin' there's a gig on the 1st or 2nd somewhere in the UK...

I'd have to tweak hotels but am waiting on train tix to see what or where a show might be.

Just gimme 2 gigs while I'm there!
