You can wait it out. If you don't like what you are seeing today, don't panic and buy something you don't want or cannot afford.

Lucky Dips will also be a good option.

Also, forgive the naivety, where do I get lucky dip tix? Also, if I buy 5 LDs, will they all be seated together - or spread around the stadium?

spreaded. Only the 2 lucky dips within the enveloppe are next to eachother.

oh dear... I was thinking about LD for my youngish kids and I...

Not sure about having an 8 year old in the general standing on his own!

Recommended areas of London to stay in for this venue?

There's a Holiday Inn at the Westfield Stratford City mall. You can walk from the mall to the stadium.

Travel from Stratford / Olympic is so easy on Central Line taking you right back through the City and into the West End which is where I would be wanting to stay if looking for a hotel. (Twickenham is not as easy!).

I remember reading a newspaper report last year that fans of the Foo Fighters had problems in getting into O2 arena without having an ID card with them that matched to name on the ticket

LD's will be part of the general sale. You have to access it through RS.com. They post a link button next to each show on the tour calendar.

This pre-sale is absolute horseshit. An hour of my life I'll never get back.

got myself a GA for Twickenham,

I may get a ticket on the night outside for London Stadium, but I'm not going through all that nonsense again.

Yes - they were. I was offered one but don't need a hotel etc They were about £950.
