Keep an eye out for Jack Nicholson in or near the pit.
At least that's where he was when I was near him at a MSG show circa 2002 cool smiley
Gotta love Jack, like the "boys" he just keeps on rockin'...

PAINT IT, JACK Hollywood legend and Rolling Stones superfan Jack Nicholson expected to watch Mick Jagger and pals play Dublin’s Croke Park
The 81-year-old Hollywood A-lister, who‘s best pals with Mick Jagger, 74, is a major fan of the veteran band.

I seriously doubt an 81 year old Jack Nicholson will be in the pit. Last I heard a couple years ago he was ill. He has been out of sight for a while now.

Was a little tongue in cheek, meant to say near.. cool smiley

He sat 7 rows in front of me at the 1st Staples Center show in 2013.

He sat 7 rows in front of me at the 1st Staples Center show in 2013.

I've seen him at countless L.A. shows - the first time being Dodgers stadium '97 when they flashed his mug up on the screens. Also Dustin Hoffman who I sat next to at one of the shows during either Licks or ABB. And sat next to the hefty comedian Horatio Sanz who used to be on SNL - didn't recognize him until my friend pointed him out. Another time 'comedian' David Spade a row in front of me up front who actually left after a few songs. Never liked him as a comedian or actor to begin with, and to disrespect the Stones like that wasunforgivable. Another time Danny Devito and his wife Rhea Perlman with some of their kids were at one of the Anaheim shows during Licks - prior to the show and them arriving I had maneuvered a few rows up on the floor and unbeknownst to me was sitting in their seats. Then all of a sudden a big entourage came down and a beefy Italiano mafioso looking dude (their bodyguard) tapped me on the shoulder...eye popping smiley...I skidaddled out of there faster than you can say "Godfather"!!!

Long Stone pub on Townsend Street (about a 25 minute walk from the venue, so not so close that it'll be overrun with concertgoers) seems to be the pub of choice for the various fansites. It's pretty central, has a beer garden and serves food.

Hope to see some of you there.

Long Stone Pub seems like a great place to be, and since it is a Viking pub I must go there. Will try toi be there this afternoon, may be tomorrow too.

I added their info to the first page of this Dublin thread.

Sitting waiting on my flight at Bristol Airport. Looking forward to tomorrow and hopefully a good spot at the front of GA. That Viking pub sounds good! Just hope they don’t charge Viking Prices spinning smiley sticking its tongue out

And Lucky Dips are back on again, for purchase in any number between 1 and 8. There’s going to be some queue for Lucky Dips tomorrow!

Anyone with a spare Lucky Dip wanna share and double the chance for a Pit?
Don't even know if " we" can be two LDs and get them at the same time...
Got a GA gold already, so only going for Pit.

Maybe it's due to a restricted view. At the Davin Stand they're using a Mini-Grandstand for Accessible Seating:

Good luck and thanks to the Stones.

ditto. i don't know why the excitement level seems so ramped-up for this
one, but congrats to all the non-locals who made the trip to the emerald isle

May your neighbors respect you,
Trouble neglect you,
The angels protect you,
And heaven accept you.
