Waiting (im)patiently in the US for Coventry and Manchester GC tix from AXS...

I have a question about when you were charged for your tickets through AXS. I bought 5 tickets for Twickenham yesterday, about 30 hours ago, and have the confirmation email from AXS, with order number and all.

Checking my UK bank account now, the cost has not been charged...

Am I just impatient? I paid with a visa debit card. I am just surprised that I wasn't charged immediately, and, ultimately, somewhat nervous that the transaction didn't go through.

What do you all think?

thanks!

Strange but you can just call them. Don't be nervous. Lots of tickets left.

no need to worry – sometimes it takes 48 or even 72 hours before a credit card is being charged

Gazza wrote (as for the cancelled gig in Ireland, in 1990):

"...I actually think sales would probably have picked up in the end, but it wasn't the last time that the Stones pulled the plug on a gig where early sales weren't as fast as they would have anticipated (Athens 2007, Honolulu 2006 etc)"

For fairness, they didn't schedule Athens gig for 2007. The gig in Athens had been planned for the summer of 2006, but after Keith’s accident it got lost... Until then the sales had been really good, 45,000 - 50,000 tickets aprox.

It could not be faster, in Greece! Because Greeks are usually selling tickets in the last weeks/ days (and, as I see, the particular custom is now branching out due to the high prices and the modern selling strategy!), so the number was strong. In 1998 the Stones played in front of 80,000 people in Athens. Three or even two weeks before concert's night, the tickets sold were 50,000, maybe slightly more. And everybody was sure that the Olympic Stadium would be filled.

Whatever the reason or their decision was, we lost the opportunity to see a third Stones concert in Greece (1967, 1998). And it still hurts, a bit…

Honolulu my God. I had tickets and airfare, couldn’t cancel damn! But those @#$%& played the night they should play Honolulu in Los Angeles. I still hate them for that!! And still going to see them..... Stonessick till death, they are my medicine for my disease, but i will never get cured!! spinning smiley sticking its tongue out

Hi Jeroen,

did you buy hard ticket or E-ticket for Prague ?

I bought PIT-A ticket in March and I remember only E-ticket option was available.
(today I made a try with golden circle ticket and only E-ticket option was available also)

Maybe you should login in your account and there is an option up right: "download my ticket"

Try there !

OK here's an ignorant question, to wit.

I still need to order my tix for Dublin. I keep reading about tix being available through AMX. What are the other, if any, ticket companies that are involved in selling tickets? Ticketbastard, the Stones web site, any others?

And is there any particular advantages of going with one company over another?

Calling from the States, I tried all these numbers and only the 55 06 number worked for me. I called right as they opened and was on hold for about 25 minutes before they got to me. (fortunately I have a flat rate international plan)

Pick a ticket up on the day off someone. No ticketbastard fees and you should be able to get anywhere you want for below face value.

It's a week before the First show. Have they all been in UK rehearsing?
Could someone please update me/us on where they all are now? Thanks, I'd appreciate the info.
There must be only a few rehearsals and a sound check left to go before another tour,
56 years after first 'rollin' out the "crew" (stu lol).

I scanned the message board but had missed the rehearsal thread I just added in the link here.

This. Especially in such a big stadium. It's very easy. I've never paid over face value for a concert ticket in my life.

Just some common sense prep is needed.

1. Print off a floor plan so you know where the ticket is.

2. Get a high res colour copy of a ticket so you know what they look like and you're not sold a dud.

3. Be very wary of printed e-tickets for obvious reasons.

4. Enter the venue at the same time as the person you buy from, if they're still attending themselves.

the best way is to buy a spare LD ticket for Dublin from me (I'll be right there with you and you don't have to pay before we get in) => [iorr.org]
