Were any of the 1970 European tour shows professionally recorded? I think Hamburg might have been but not sure.

...I don't believe this for a split second.
Just like the Stones will never play solo tracks live, they will never release solo gigs or recordings under their name - vault or no vault.
Plus: I seriously doubt Jagger wants to be remembered for his solo tours...

Having that said: I REALLY hope I'm right.

Never say never...

...talk about the exception that proves the rule... smoking smiley

but hey; really - I didn't know about that.

P.S.: come to think of it - doesn't the Tosh/Jagger "Walk & Don't Look Back" ('78 I believe) qualify here as well?
Or was that just Jagger guesting Tosh as the support acct on lead vocals?

I find it easy to believe it could be released, but I find it hard to believe it will be released as a Rolling Stones From the Vault.

Yep. However, doesn't Eagle Rock provide "From The Vault"-releases for other bands, too?

I'd like the individual Paris, Brixton, Paradiso Stripped shows on CD.

I know Paris is available on Japanese import, and I'm considering it, along with the other Tokyo gig, from 1990, but would love them all as Cds.

They exist as 13cd box 'Made In Japan'. And if you found out what the Japanese import Paris CD/DVD cost, you better buy that 13cd box.

I would rather buy a cd-player which is dvd-compatible, than purchase a 13 cd-box (or the japanese releases) to get the different shows on cd. But that's me smiling smiley

A dvd or blue ray player can always play cd's. But for the prize of that 13cd box you will not found a decent player.

Of course you will! Especially, if you count the cost of future similar releases.

Yes, it's a bootleg box. Copied from the official japanese releases.
If the Stones only give it for the Japanese market, than you know
bootleggers will bring it out in Europe.
The Stones are fooling themself. Why fans outside Japan can't buy these things.
I don't care if it's bootleg, i want the cd's. If i can buy it official i do that. But sometimes the prizes are crazy for official things, like the Brussels Affair box or the Paris 95 cd/blue ray box.

These concerts you have to pay per song, and some of them are not available.
And still you have cdr, not pressed cd with booklet.
If you pay all the songs is a lot of money too.

No. Just buy the entire Album (with all songs) for £15.99 or €21.99 ....

My initial reaction was disappointment, they could release Mocambo or something else more worthy...like Atlantic City!
But being the glass half full type of guy I am, it will just allow me to fill up the M section of my CD collection (between Metallica and the Misfits!).
The setlist (both Tokyo nights are pretty much the same) is very Stones heavy and Joe Satriani is no slouch...

EDIT: and the facebook post I'm referring to does say "to be confirmed" so this isn't 100% fact...yet!

If it's released, it will be as MICK JAGGER FROM THE VAULT, not ROLLING STONES though the lapping tongue logo will likely still appear for branding purposes and because the recording is copyrighted by Promotone.

Source?

Pretty cool setlist...a shame they didn't play Memory Motel that night like on the No Security album!

If it is San Jose maybe they will wipe no security from ever being reissued

Paris 1976 and San Jose 1999 are both extremely welcome

Just so long as they keep the NO SECURITY cover art. Without question, their worst album cover until Tony the Tiger graced the cover of GRRR 14 years later.
