I picked up one these (the Bob Clearmountain remix) 45s with picture sleeve on ebay last week for $30. I see some some listed as buy it now for $149 or $199. So question for anyone out there? Did I get a good deal or were those buy it now ones ridiculously overpriced?

I think that disc and sleeve were copied/bootlegged.

So maybe you got a counterfeit or maybe you got a good deal.

It was an auction not a buy it now, and the cover had some tears in it and the seller had a good rep. Anyway it was delivered today so wil check it out when I get home.

The boots were really high quality, so the seller might not even know whether it was or not.

Just got home and checked it out. Looks to be the real deal from the feel
Of the paper of the sleeve and the dead wax etching as well as the labeling. Played it once and sounded great.

Sooooo the way I tell the difference between a real and fake copy is this -

On real picture sleeves there is a clear difference between the pupil and iris on Keith's eye. Sharp and crisp. On the fakes it is blurry. No real definition between the two. They kinda blend together.

Go on eBay, check auction pictures. Depending on how sharp the sellers picture is, you can definitely see a difference. I got this info from someone who made bootleg/counterfeit copies.
