That was in the mid/late 80s, though. Keith even joined him on stage for one of those gigs.
I don't think Taylor did any solo gig in the 70s. His album came out in 1979.
Keith looked totally different in 1986 and even in 1981. It's from 1976-79.

76-79, according to Phillips. Our boys came in in 1977, I believe.

Exactly. Weird because Keiths face looks like 1973 ish, his teeth possibly after 1974/late 1974, his hair 1976 possibly maybe very late 1973/early or late 1974/ late 1975/1976/maybe 1977 but not during the Philips sessions. It ciuld be a made up Keith of May 1976 but I will have another look and change my mind in a minute.

31 July right through September tour ... Stacked hair still in October court appearances with Anita....
And he wore that velvet jacket with satin? edging on lapels during that European/UK tour ...

For some reason I think this may be AT THE Lonestar cafe in NYC around 78. Mick played solo there a few times and. Stones rehearsed in Woodstock .

The Pay,Pack and Follow sessions took place over a period of few years (wikipedia says 73-79) We still don't know what year the picture was taken.

Another reason: we can not see it clearly in this picture, but I think every Stones fan will agree that by now Keith's teeth were fixed. In 73 those choppers were still a mess, but one can sense from this picture that they are fixed.
Taylor loos a bit thinner than when w/ Stones. LIke when he was already w/ Jack Bruce Band in 75 playing terrible music.

From the few pictures that are available during the John Philips' recording's(1977), Keith doesn't look like he does on "the picture". On the Papa John's era pix, Keith has short hair, he is skinny as a rail, looking like he was going to die soon.
