Funny, and it looks like one of the Black Crowes' guitarists played with Gov't Mule last night during their covers set. Cool Stones set.

Jackie Greene is a fine guiter player but was one of many guitar players who played in the Black Crowes but was really just a hired hand IMHO. He was in the final version of the band before they broke up, Marc Ford and Audley Freed were really the "other" guitar players in that band.

I thought Jeff Cease, Marc Ford and Luther Dickinson were the «real» other players.

If you like early Crowes, go see Chris's brothers band The Magpie Salute.

Agreed! Saw them in Paradiso(Amsterdam), last summer, and they absolutely burn.
And this one is with Marc Ford, btw.

+2, saw them here in Boston and they put on a great show. It was great to see Rich and Marc playing together again. You can also buy the show you attended from the Nugs website. Rich wants to record a double album of original material this year so something to look forward to.

What website is that? Never heard of it...
Are European gigs for sale as well?
I agree. I am a big Crowes fan and usually really like Chris' work, but he hasn't aged well. The CRB just bore me. They sound like a mellowed Dead cover wannabe band. Never really scorching. This Stones set for the most part is terrible. Very geriatric safe and uninspired renditions. Particularly, Satisfaction and Star Star. They sound like a uninspired bad bar band. Tepid playing to a crowd that is just there to party and not really there to see the CRB... or so it seems that way from the video.Quote

Sure, the set list is phenomenal but...
I think you have to be flying high to enjoy this CRB.
Not my bag, baby.
When the Black Crowes were semi-sober they flat-out @#$%& cooked and were unbeatable live.
When they weren't...eh.
