Just seen your post Nate and so very sorry to hear the loss of your Dad.
My thoughts are with you and your family at this sad time.
Your Dad must have been a big part of your life ,as my Dad was to me when he passed away in 1978.
Time is a healer as others have said, but at the moment I can really understand what you are going through.
Take care, and hope we will meet again in 2018.

Hang in there, Nate. There’s nothing anyone can really say - I lost my dad about 15 years ago and I miss him every day but it’s true that the pain fades with time and I have many wonderful memories of times together to treasure. It will be the same too for you, I am sure. Be strong. All best wishes.

he was a GREAT man and loved by everyone.

You may need to take a vacation when the dust settles. I went to Europe for a few weeks and it helped me.

Hi Nate,we met at the Alleycat Club Stones tribute gig in Denmark Street.

I've lost both my parents and I can tell you that all the cliches (such as time being a great healer) are true.

You struck me as a good bloke and I feel sure you'll receive a lot of support from family and friends.

As time goes on you'll find some days are better than others and eventually there will be more good than bad. Life will get a lot easier not that you'll forget your dad.

Maybe at some time in the future we IORRians can have a get-together, perhaps in London. It would give you a change of scenery ( if that's the word!) and we can have a few beers and take your mind off things.

Sorry to hear of your loss.My father passed away 12 years ago and it felt like I had lost my right arm.It does get easier.I know he is now in a safe place.I reflect upon the great times we had and know some day we will be reunited in a different place.
My Mother is still alive,and has alzeimers and this is a living hell.....
