Hi,are you the fans just sick of Keith singing ballads in stadiums??Sure the mid tempo rockers are great,but slow old Keith singing soppy love songs is about as inviting as the contents of my toilet bowl after I´ve eaten nothing but greens for a week and the chain won´t work!!!!

Lets all sign the petition to stamp down on Keith!

I suggest Keith should either play two short songs, like You Got The Silver and The Worst or play just one song no matter how long it is.
And please Keith, Infamy is cacophony. It sound so out of tune.

keith should just play one slow song. Works well on the DVD releases. They usually cut one of his songs.

Keith's paid his dues. He can
do whatever he pleases.

Keith SHOULDN'T play/sing rockers in concerts because he can't sing them well anymore!!!!
His ballads are beatifull IMO and he now has this perfect voice for these slow ballads.
I love You got the silver, i've never attended a concert where he played it but i love the boots where he does. I'm also a big fan of Thru and Thru and Slipping Away and Thief in the Night live. I always hope that i catch one of those songs.
The video on rollingstones.com where he rehearses This Place Is Empty is great, i sure hope that he is going to play this song on this tour.
Also, i think i´m one of the few but, i always loved it when he played You don´t have Mean It on the B2B tour!!!!!

nearness of you - what a surprise it was on LICKS. It was beautiful. The crowd in Europe loved it.

the worst - a great ballad, it sounds nice on this tour, Tim plays a beautiful clarinet solo in it, and Keith sharing the mic with Bernard is another great moment.

you got the silver - it was one of the biggest hit and crowd pleaser on No Security. What a nice version!

all about you - one of the greatest ballad he ever wrote IMHO, studio version is perfect, and the version he played and sang on BtB was excellent, again a lovely surprise

slippin away - although it is played slower recently than on Steel Wheels, it is a great song live, it was great on Licks Tour when he put his guitar aside and sang the first verse. and then he played an amazing solo...

thru and thru, which is not a real ballad, was a highlight on the show in Vienna on LICKS, as well as Thief In The Night in Holland for instance

and with fast numbers, BTMMR was a bit tired on LICKS but Happy was good, fresh and swingin, I liked that

Keith could make a Celine Dion tune rock, he calls the shots, no one could tell him what to do and I agree with FARAWAY EYES who agrees davido and Buddha66 he can do whatever the hell he wants!

The song he should play is "Take it so hard." What harm in one or two solo tunes? Maybe Mick could do God gave me everyting or dont tear me up.

Maybe the emphasis of the original post is on thw word "stadium". Kind of a valid technical point. Maybe coming from the point of view of someone who forked out $500 and expects something more than "cacophony".

Sir Mick has a weak bladder since one of those incidents when peeing in front of gas stations back in the mid-sixties. Nowadays he just needs a break after 60 minutes of powerful singing. Guess why he is jogging all the time and where to is he going? There ain't too many toilets in the stadium. That is the true infamy. Or did he sing "in for me"? Whatever, give the poo to Keith but the piss is all Mick's.

The Worst and Infamy would probably be the best choices he could make. Two of the best songs he ever did and it's pure The-Keef-Of-Today. The Worst is better than any ballad he ever did (Even solo). And Infamy suits the reggae-loving Keith so well. What's not to like???

Keith's ballads are among my favorite Stones songs. I always hope he'll do a complete balladeer's album.

Ever listened to: hate it when you leave or make no mistake?

Of course Keith can do whatever he wants. No one is disputing that. We're just discussing what we would LIKE to see him do.

He could at least give us one ballad and one rocker. Infamy is mediocre at best. Someone described it as a riff in search of a song and I think that's about right. I would much rather hear This Place Is Empty, that one is a budding classic. And I am so sick of The Worst I could puke. A good but not great song that has been run into the ground. He could sing anything in place of that at this point and I'd be happy. My choices would be either Happy, Little T&A, You Got the Silver, Thru and Thru or You Don't Have To Mean It.

When was the last time he did You Got The Silver? Did he ever do it actually? I don't think so.

Keep singing ballads live, Keith...they're soulful...great stuff...and for all the people with no attention span...tough luck!!!
