This is so wrong. Time to stop the booze, if that was the case and ban the cell phone cameras.
Why can't people enjoy a show without these?

I am looking at the setlist.fm. Though he didn't play the encore in Madrid (1 song), the show was already shorter in Prague - the show before Madrid. Until Prague he played cca 1h45 - 1h55, Prague was only 1h35. Madrid was 1h20 and Barcelona - the show after Madrid 1h30.

I still maintain the man is over 80 and any show that's over 60 minutes from him is damn impressive and all we could realistically hope for. I really judge these octogenarians fairly easily.

One thing that strikes me about Eric's latter-day performances is not the short-ish set-lists, but just how laid back and relaxed the performances are; to my ears, it's almost lounge music-like. It's all seems a very gentle, elderly affair. This is not a criticism at all, but the reality of an 80-year-old on stage in 2026. I'm glad he's still performing, even if it's all dialled-down a notch.

I stopped the video and examined the item thrown at Eric — some big orange dots on a white background...

Actually his play nowadays still offers an intense moment from time to time and he can stop time when he is in the zone and not in autopilot mode (which is also where he wanders into sometimes, admittedly). It’s remarkable for an octogenarian to accomplish that. In other words, his is another ‘you have to be there’ type of a performance. You can’t fully appreciate that, watching smartphone video on YouTube, sitting on an armchair at home.

Old Love from last week in Poland, it's hard to believe an 81 year old can play and sing with this intensity. Solo from 4 to 8 minutes.

Beautiful guitar. "Old Love" was a highlight from the Guildford show I saw on the 21st.
I also met Sonny and Nathan from the band after the show - really lovely people.
