Imelda is great. I was glad when she dumped the rockabilly schtick.

Ronnie, like Keith, enjoys getting on stage and playing any chance he gets. That's rock n roll.

I was thinking the same thing Scotty, and Ronnie always seems to shine brightly in these settings - almost as if he's enjoying himself more than when he's on stage with the Stones.
A bit looser without being under the 'iron curtain' that is the Stones where most of the songs he plays on he wasn't even on the studio versions.
Looking at the setlist of the last Stones show in Paris, he was originally only involved with six of the twenty songs they played that night.

"...and Ronnie always seems to shine brightly in these settings - almost as if he's enjoying himself more than when he's on stage with the Stones".

I don't think so, Hairball, at least as for the last years. My impression is that, during all the recent tours, Ronnie seems to enjoy really being on stage with the Stones. Maybe that's why his contribution is bigger. Or, maybe, the row is reverse: Ronnie knows that he's playing well and so his mood gets better...

Could be, and I think his sobriety has helped his playing and demeanor, but in the case of the final Paris show, it must be tough (or awkward) at times for him to only play only four of twenty originals (plus two covers) that he had anything to do with in the studio. Or maybe he doesnt care, but when he's playing on songs he originally had nothing to do with, there's certain expectations and guidelines to meet not only from Mick and Keith, but most fans. He can't just go out there and let it loose as he does when guseting with others, and for the most part with the Stones he has to abide by the structure that was in place before he was a member of the band.

Well, Keith used to.
Not so much in recent years though?

I agree. Keith seems have gone MIA in recent years when The Stones are not on tour while Ronnie will show up at someone's baby shower to play if he can. LOL. I also agree with Hairball's comments. Ronnie seems to really be enjoying himself playing on stage with other people. He gets to 'spread his wings' a little more when playing under these situations.

You'd like her, potus. She does a lot of Beatles covers.

I love the Royal Albert Hall. It is a truly amazing, historical, and beautiful place. It would be so fitting for the Stones last concert... ever.

I agree.

Other than that, a small club or theater somewhere in London.
