You can hear them starting to slow down. No Security was definitely their final peak.

I was there as well - and it's the best show (and hottest!) I've ever seen.

Really? The memory I have of these two years (02-03) is they played way too fast, as if they were trying to tell us "hey We're 60 but we still kick ass".

The "speeding-up" policy deprived the band's live of its precious groove (imo).

I'm not really sure how anyone can say that they weren't firing on all cylinders on the Licks tour. Just 2 years later they were back on the road and that was a definite dip.

It was three years later when I saw them from the side of the stage in Los Angeles. They were a bit lackluster and I attributed it to catching them on a bad night. Then I saw them in 2005 and Get Off Of My Cloud was really lame. Saw them again in the States in 2006 and the band was barely playing. Mick was the only standout, and the light show. By 2013, when I saw them again it was kind of sad. Yeah, No Security was incredible. I don't know about speed, I only know what I like.

Bad karma or the evil curse of whatever you managed to pick their "off shows" constantly after '99.
No Security...

The two shows I caught on the Licks tour were great, especially the arena show in Philly that I caught where they played a block of Let It Bleed tunes. That show was up there as one of my best for both set-list and performance.

I was there! Still one of the best shows of my 74 shows I`ve seen.

I attended to the aftershow party of Mick in Lenbach Restaurant.
He was still dancing there for 3 hours - unbelievable.

This Krone pro-shot showed up maybe 5 years ago out of nowhere... I wonder how many other pro-shot videos people are hoarding in private circles.... It wouldn't surprise me if there are a few.

Looking back one must admit Circus Krone was a fantastic show no doubt, even though the first half is clearly the best IMO. Keith's guitar is almost absent in the mix and overpowered by Chuck's keyboard, but it's still a very enjoyable watch. A club/theater show from the Licks tour would make a nice vault release. Maybe not Krone though, I would prefer a release from Cirkus, Stockholm (with a flaming SFTD as encore).

As for ''No Security was their final peak'' I disagree. I would say the Licks-tour was more exciting and fresh. However in 2005 I noticed a big decline. The tempos were the same but the groove was gone. Just 2 years and it was like a different band, of course there were highlights 05-07 but they were much fewer and further between.

Mick would never let that stray cat blues out as a pro release.......although it is a classic massacre of an intro

Glad that the sitar guitar of Ronnie's seems to be on the backburner these days.

do you mean straycat at circus krone?
jagger almost screams and don´t save his voice. it´s so great, much stronger than the released olympia-version. they could fix the intro as they did with the butchered start me up at hyde park

Yes, absolutely. A true standout version, Mick threw everything he's got into it, no holding back, he was like a maniac on this one. My neck hairs stood up back then and they're still raising whenever I relive this on video. Mick was truly on fire that night (an expression often used, but...). The band... well, not always. I just wished they'd shared Mick's energy level that night.

Mick's performance and singing at this show is absolute gold!

I wonder where that remaster comes from.... The audio is brilliant compared to previous releases.
