Question to guitar pick collectors
Posted by: thomas guitar ()
Date: November 7, 2017 19:39

I have a question to guitar pick collectors:

Which guitar picks Keith really used during the tours in 2012 and 2016. Many fakes circulate on the internet. Maybe someone can show pictures here which he got or caught while touring.

Thanks for helping

For NO FILTER, they are pearled blue. I have a big doubt with the plain blues that circulate for Ronnie's.

FRONT/ Blue Tongue - BACK/ ROLLING STONES in red
FRONT/ Blue Tongue - BACK/ KEITH RICHARDS 2016 in white (100% sure as Keith gave one to me in person)
FRONT/ Blue Tongue - BACK/ DARYL JONES 2016 in white (unsure)
unsure also about Ron's. Mick's looked plain grey - not customised.

I believe the flat blue picks are real. I saw a close up of them in a concert video. I'm curious about the 2012 picks as they're pretty cheap on eBay.

I'm not really a 'collector' -
but in Arnhem, last October, I caught this one (well, I found it on the floor in the Pit, actually... smoking smiley )

Are you sure that there exists a real pick with Charlie's name on it? A drumstick with his name: o.k.- but a guitar pick?

I was given one in Bondy so yes.

Chuck Leavell and Bernard Fowler also have or have had guitar picks in their names.

i was given the same pick in person so Charlie's is a real one.

ROCKMAN, I'm not sure if these Charlie picks are used on stage though - and by whom (not by Charlie lol). The other ones I mentioned were used on stage, as I could clearly see them.

I got Charlies pick from Chuck Leavell in Horsens 2006. Definitely a real pick.

I got 3:

In Bremen 1998 I had a sign: "Keith and Ronnie, give me your plecs!"
One was thrown to me by Keith. It fell down. A roadie gave it to me.
Then Ronnie slided on YGMR, came over, threw it but it got LOST in a
mountain of jackets below us! Fvck! It was gone. Finally Keith pointed
at me, climbed between the amps and laid it into my palm. WOW!
So he must have seen that the first one fell down. I got 2 of his
plecs in one show!

London 2007, 2nd show, b-stage: Keith gave me a plec as I was
pointing at his hand. He looked at me and laid it right into my palm!!!

Have them all in my shrine... spinning smiley sticking its tongue out

Kirk hit my son in the chest with a pic from 30 yards out!
My kid bent down to pick it up and we found a second, and then a third one.

World Record-type throws! Astounding.

There must be a thread in a Metallica forum named
"Anybody who got NO guitar pick by James or Kirk?"

I was given one in Bondy so yes.

I have a Bobby Keyes pick. Got it in Tel Aviv 2014.
