It Won't Take Long is brilliant. In my mind... there's no doubt this one is the best. For a moment I thought this was an early seventies outtake where Ron Wood kicked Mick Taylor out of the band and played some great lead guitar while Keith lays that impeccable groove down.

right now "Let Me Down Slow"....love the descending melody of the chorus and also, the jangly guitar chords at the end of the verse (reminiscent of their '60s sound)...jaggers phrasing is fantastic on this one...best wishes

Come on...listen to this album...LAUGH, I NEARLY DIED is with out a doubt the best song on the album AND the most convicing Jagger vocal I have heard in a dogs age...if you listen to the lyrics...my take (and I could be wrong) is the song is about his constant Hollywood rejection and all the years Jagger has tried to make it in Hollywood with no success...which is personal to him and a painful thorn in his side.

If Jagger concentrated all these years on being Mick Jagger of the Rolling Stones and Not Mick Jagger the wanna be actor..we all might have a few more Stones albums on our CD racks to enjoy, a few more ripped concert tickets from the 80's and Jagger would certainly have a lot more millions in the bank!

I agree, it's not filler. The song rocks.

I have to admit, that probably since Emotional Rescue I've been disappointed with Stones albums at the simple level of saying this one song or that one song is filler (I don't think I'd say that about another Stones album between '68 and TY, except for ER).

So just to deal with my own expectations, I'd tell myself to expect that one or two songs might be filler or might not hit me between the eyes right away. I'd say that with Undercover, DW, SW, VL, B2B, there is a song or two that I'd call filler, and I was expecting the same thing with ABB, except after listening to the album repeatedly I simply don't find any. It's filler-free. Against my own expectations, I like the whole album and I find some songs to be simply great.

This week I'm listening to Drinving too fast al lot. Great song: fast and raw. Could be great live, really hope they're gonna play it soon.

At this point, my favorite song is Let Me Down Slow. I liked it when I first heard it and have appreciated it more with a little time.

She Saw Me Coming, Biggest Mistake, This Place Is Empty, and Infamy have gotten even better with time as well.

today: Dangerous Beauty!!!

I have had the album in the van now for a good two weeks...and I do have to say it is GREAT!!! I love it. The only song I have been hitting the skip button on is Streets...just can't get into it although the wife loves it. Look What the Cat Dragged in has got to be the rockinest tune on the album though...would be great live, some fast chewy riffs in that song and its tempo is great, Drums thump..harmonies are sweet..and then they break out a few times in that spanish guitar thing. Luv it. Goosebumps fer sure and would luv to hear this one on the B-stage.

ONNYA is my favourite, despite the corny lyrics of the first verse and the fact that the guitar solo is way too short.

of my 14 favorites, She Saw Me Coming and Infamy seem to have the most "on" days lately.
... and now that i've said that, the other 12 favorites are howling for their due -
my lord, this is a splendid album - it just grows and it grows and it grows!
