You don't know what to say but you know what I mean :
40 years ago when women were (sadly) 2nd-rate citizens there was NONE of this gutter press that tell us all about the love stories of the rich and the famous.
Now go to a newsstand and there are dozens of these gossip "mags". Who buy them? Not men. That's why I say (jokingly) this thread is the bastard child of the enpowerment of women (which I fully endorse) and the current trend that leaves no privacy to anyone.

I think the issue is more that forty years ago there was no internet. (It seems to me that a lot of the people chiming in here are men, so perhaps interest in the love lives of celebrities has become more egalitarian. )

Apparently Mick is becoming the Hugh Hefner of rock.

Comedian Louis CK lost his career today.
It's interesting how something is a non-story at one point and then the media jumps all over it a few years later. Like the media is catching up to the public viewpoint.
These stories about CK have been out there for a few years. I've always loved his comedy but thought, "How can this guy just keep on going with all these twisted rumors out there?"Quote

I don't think wonderboy was implying anything about Mick. Is that right, wonderboy?

If somebody - a grown up adult - do want to date or simply spend time with Mick Jagger, then I think that would be ok, without each and every person on the planet being upset because of that. Feel free to talk about it, and to discuss it, but I don't think it is a sensation, not even something EU or UN or any other major organization would worry about. If everyone is happy and there is no offence then I would like to wish everyone well.

No. Like the women felt safe enough/ in numbers to take a stand.
COMPLETELY DIFFERENT than Mick.

Hard to say if what McKenzie said is true or not, but if so she was 18 at the time and Mick was only 35 so both were consenting adults.
The age difference between the two (a mere 17 years) seems tame in comparison to the latest age gap of 52 years...or is it 51?

You mean, 50 years ago since it was 1977?

Not sure I get your...sarcasm?
Whatever the case, 1977 was only 40 years ago - that's less than the age gap between Mick and Noor Alfallah (51 or 52 years),
and also less than the age gap Melanie Hamrick (44 years) who was born in 1987! In contrast, L'Wren was only 21 years younger than Mick.
