No Filter DVDs?

Any info on whether DVDs will be released of any of the No Filter shows?

Seems to me they were filming for DVD in the last two Paris shows?

...Same set-lists,no particular places(except for Lucca), I don't think there will be a "No filter" DVD...

An additional cameraman were next to me (I was in the pit) the third show in Paris.

I have asked to him if he was recording for a DVD.

He replied "yes but the release is not decided yet...".

We will see. I hope for a DVD or, at least, a live CD.

Four Flicks - was new, interesting and a sort of unique
The Biggest Bang - was a kind of remake of the FF and a bit boring
Shine A Light - did not add anything to those above, except the name of the director.
Sweet Summer Sun - historical but boring. Mick T. added some spice but did not save a day. (I do not mention Ward Records edition, that is total money grabbing)
Ole - a kind of remake (or re shuffle) of the FF and TBB documentaries with a drop of Latin America.
Havana Moon - money grabbing based on historical appearance. They could easily put Ole and HM together in a kind of equivalent of FF (Ward, actually did that).
Sticky Fingers - interesting in terms of the whole album played live.

Do we really need another re-incarnation of FF and TBB? Or EU version of Ole?

any live release of the No Filter tour (video or audio) seems to be pointless. The vast bulk of the songs that were performed are already featured on lots of other live CDs/DVDs. And the rare songs were so few that they won't fill more than an EP. Plus: All is to be found on youtube…

I think it is necessary to have an official recording of this tour (Live CD or
DVD).

Many people (as me) would be interested in.

There were extra cameramen coming around in Paris 2 and 3, with quite a lot of filming on Paris 3 in particular, so there will definitely be a DVD made, I think. Release or not is the question...

What is interesting? There were 2-4 unique songs per show. The rest were warhorses and some others close to that status.
Look here [www.timeisonourside.com]
DVD/Blu-ray (30th concert film) and 24th live album: HAVANA MOON / HAVANA MOON
CD includes the following Rolling Stones performances:
Jumpin' Jack Flash 17th live audio vers. (32nd live audio or video vers.)*
It's Only Rock' n Roll 6th live audio vers. (13th live audio or video vers.)*
Tumbling Dice 13th live audio vers. (22nd live audio or video vers.)**
Out of Control 2nd live audio vers. (3rd live audio or video vers.)*
All Down the Line 6th live audio vers. (11th live audio or video vers.)**
Angie 7th live audio vers. (11th live audio or video vers.)*
Paint It Black 6th live audio vers. (8th live audio or video vers.)*

You Got the Silver 3rd live audio vers. (4th live audio or video vers.)*
Before They Make Me Run 3rd live audio vers. (3rd live audio or video vers.)**
Midnight Rambler 10th live audio vers. (19th live audio or video vers.)*
Miss You 8th live audio vers. (16th live audio or video vers.)**
Gimmie Shelter 7th live audio vers. (13th live audio or video vers.)*
Start Me Up 9th live audio vers. (19th live audio or video vers.)**
Sympathy for the Devil 8th live audio vers. (17th live audio or video vers.)*
Brown Sugar 17th live audio vers. (28th live audio or video vers.)*
You Can't Always Get What You Want 11th live audio vers. (17th live audio or video vers.)*
Satisfaction 13th live audio vers. (28th live audio or video vers.)*

Do you really need 20+th (or 30+th for JJF) audio/video version of warhorses?

PS. This is the 3rd Paris show. Overlapping tracks are in bold.

Sympathy For The Devil
It's Only Rock'n Roll
Tumbling Dice

They could easily put together a nice 20 song disc if they collected various highlights from 2012 to now. Shine A Light from Chicago, Rocks Off from Arlington, Some Girls from Atlanta, Dancing With Mr D. from Anrhem etc...

I don't think any concert from this tour could hold up on it's own though for release.

Not sure that looking at it totally in terms of setlist is fair though. The show is about a lot more than just the songs they play, it’s the energy, the crowd, the performance, the mood, the lightshow, the stage etc.

During the 3rd show in Paris I saw a cameraman filming the 1st row. He didn't do it for the video screens. I think there will be a DVD - with a lot of the warhorses again. They want to make some money...

I noticed a big camera crane in Paris 3 - there was no crane in Düsseldorf.

I would love a No Filter live CD.
- Bitch
- Shes so cold
- shes a rainbow
- play with fire
...

That would be great considering the setlist was better than some of the shows from last tour, PLUS she's so cold, she´s a rainbow and the blues numbers.

If they filmed the third paris show, bring on the DVD!

Who would have thought we'd be overwhelmed with live DVDs from the post-Wyman years? And the same songs for the most part, over and over. We just had Ole Moon, which at least had some novelty with the Cuba angle. I used to buy anything Stones on the first day. Now I can wait a few weeks and see their newest Live DVD at my local library. Maybe watch the whole thing. Too bad the library doesn't carry From The Vault DVDs. I'd still like to see the Fonda show at least once.

I'd say Paris 2 would be a likely candidate, and they could name it "The Songs Remain the Same".

I strongly believe that at least they had plans to release a Paris "No Filter" recording since
-from the pit I saw a cameraman halfway down the catwalk Keith's side recording the whole of Paris 3
-Mick wore the same merchandise shirt, the red No Filter one,for Paris 2 and Paris 3.
Perhaps both nights were filmed for backups but I can't confirm for Paris 2 since I wasn't in the pit for it but on the rail small stage center.
Time will tell...

Others might be glad to have a new release, even with the 50th live-version of Brown Sugar.

So what's your problem? You don't have to buy, do you?

Quite sure it 'll be Paris; either the final gig, or a mash-up of songs from all 3 nights.
And that's quite OK, 'cause they were fuming.

I fail to see what renditions of Play With Fire, Just Your Fool, Hate To See You Go, Ride 'Em On Down, Shine A Light, She's A Rainbow and other rarities has to do with the releases you are mentioning?

They have an oportunity now, imo, to release a dvd with all the songs they don't play that often:

Just Your Fool
Hate To See You Go
Ride 'Em On Down
Play With Fire
Dancing With Mr. D
Sweet Virginia
She's So Cold
Shine A Light
She's A Rainbow
Under My Thumb
Beast Of Burden
Like A Rolling Stone
Con Le Mie Lacrime
Rocks Off
Heartbreaker
Get Off Of My Cloud

I'll buy it smiling smiley

It's a great idea but I don't think it will happen, since Mick thinks long term. He knows that if they release Shine A Light from Amsterdam, then releasing the whole Amsterdam show later on is not as profitable. Releasing just one show at a time assures decades of archive releases even after they're gone...

Nice set list. I'll get that one too. But it would never happen.
Most probably they will follow the same well known pattern. Sure, they will drop Just Your Fool+ Hate To See You Go or Ride 'Em On Down to the set list (and interrupt continuous flow of the concert with an interview), maybe add another rarity or two (and interrupt continuous flow of the concert with an interview), change Keith's set. But the core will be the same. Thus, EU version of Ole or FF documentary.

I think they used the drone for the TV show "66 minutes" about U Arena. I don't know if the Stones used it.
