OK....so, those of you who saw a bunch of the shows:

Which was the BEST? And why?

setlist/rarities, overall playing/singing, crowd-enthusiasm, band energy etc. etc....

thanks in advance.

From the comfort of my computer chair.. I'd give it to Paris 3.

Loose vibe onstage, enthusiastic crowd and the best Rambler in ages.
Bravo!

Having virtually seen them all, my vote goes to Paris 2.
The camaraderie and fun between the band members was reflected in the performance and all around vibe.
Plus they ditched the plodding Sympathy as opener and started with a blasting Jumping Jack Flash.

I saw Barca, Amsterdam, Paris 2 and 3. Was in the pit for all but Paris 2 (Fosse Or for that show). All of them were really solid but I thought Amsterdam was the best one I saw, with Paris 3 a close second. SFM was the highlight song of this tour. The Rambler in Paris 3 was outstanding.

Ooh, fun. I saw 7 shows, inc 4 in pit (starred). My ranking is:
Dusseldorf*, one of my top 5 shows
Arnhem*, just a little behind
Paris 3* - 2nd half the show was as good, if not better than Duss, but 1st half more mixed

Then a bit of a drop to Paris 2 and Zurich
Bit more of a drop to Munich (an interesting show, but not very good, and I had some real concerns about the rest of the tour after seeing it)
I didn't really enjoy Stockholm* at all

SFM was the highlight every night, along with Slipping Away on most nights. I very much liked Sympathy as an opener. Specific songs I still immediately remember are last night's Rambler, Satisfaction from Arnhem, Beast of Burden from Munich. There are definitely more, but those are the ones that immediately jump out. I haven't listened to any of the recordings yet - I am loking forward to reliving the shows and evaluating my judgements. After two shows I was a little woried, but my overall impression has ben very poisitive.

I saw 4 shows:

Paris-2: because with LD in the pit, best experience, great show
Hamburg: the opening of the tour, just the excitement of seeing them again, how will the show be? Play with fire!
Zürich: great show, band playing better than Hamburg. Hate to see you go, LARS!
Arnhem: great show as well, With LD seating in the very back. She's so cold...
and 4x Dancing with Mr D. :-)

6 shows this tour:
Hamburg, Amsterdam, Arnhem, 3xParis

of the 3 Paris shows the best was #3, followed by #1

of the 6 shows Arnhem was best - what a rocking show
with great sound that was!

I saw 8.

1. Amsterdam (Pit)
2. Arnhem (Pit)
3. Stockholm (Pit - underrated show on this forum; lousy crowd, great gig)
4. Paris I (Carre Or)
5. Paris III (Pit)
6. Paris II (Carre Or)
7. Hamburg (Silver Pit - Ranked low, but probably the most pleasantly surprising show of the tour)
8. Düsseldorf (GA - ridiculous aweful sound. Never GA for me anymore in that Esprit Arena)

Overall, a good tour, but without the ‘four and a half stars-gigs’ they did on their previous European Tour (Pinkpop, Paris, Düsseldorf).

I did all 14 from pretty much the same place in the pit on Ronnie's side (except in Lucca where I went on Keith's side).

As always there were no bad shows, there are great shows and then there are the exceptional ones. To be a truly outstanding show everything needs to come together; performance, sound, audience enthusiasm etc... I could debate it all day in my head but for me the over all winner was Paris 2 with the switch to JJF as the opener, they just stepped it up that little extra. They had the most family and friends in town and made it count. When it comes to overall experience Lucca was incredible, what an beautiful place buzzing with excitement for the arrival of the concert and what great hospitality from the promoter including a tongue topped 10kg Panettone!

In general the shows got better and better until Dusseldorf. The band became more relaxed and started to enjoy themselves more and more.

Three shows.
1 Arnhem because of the energy, especially Mick and enthusiastic crowd.
2 Amsterdam perfect show

Distance...

Paris 3 I love the interaction between Keith and Mick. Loved Keith’s set.

I saw 6 shows on this tour (Hamburg, Lucca, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Arnhem and Paris 3).
I enjoyed all of them, but if I had to pick one it would have to be Arnhem.

Tough, but out of the five I saw:

1) Hamburg (first show - 22 songs, great setlist)
2) Paris #2 (last show on the tour for me, ended up in the pit, band had fun on stage)
3) Stockholm (first time in pit)
4) Copenhagen (thought the band performed very well here)
5) Munich

I thought Hamburg was stunningly great as well. However, out of the 2 shows I saw, I'll have to tip my hat to their Amsterdam-show. That show was perfect – perhaps the best I've seen since O2 1.
