Thanks for sharing. Didn't realize their relationship ran so deep. The extensive 1995 interview is still the best one Mick ever did I think, a rare look back in the past and admitting "failure", like no longer having Taylor around and not being happy with the way Voodoo Lounger turned out...

Fascinated by Keith's description of Mick as a fisherman -- once he gets his hooks into you, he's going to reel you in. I think Keith sometimes admires what Mick did for the Stones and other times is appalled.
...
It's not in this particular excerpt, but Paul McCartney hated Wenner because he bought into Yoko's campaign to put Lennon on a pedestal.

I think it was called "Jagger Remembers"

I was really impressed with Jann Wenner for managing to get Mick to talk seriously and at length about the past. In other interviews he gets really evasive when the topic comes up. I think it was in another interview with Wenner where he responded to a question about the 60s with something like, "Oh God, you're not going to make me talk about Swinging London, are you?"

NOTHING GOOD AT ALL.

The New York Times recently had a very interesting article about the writer and his relationship with the main subject. And now how the Writer was being very open about Jaan’s sexuality and personal life. So much so he would not endorse the book and say that it was official. Even though he worked with the Author for several years. That excerpt seems pretty interesting I am interested in reading the book. Could be a good read.

I have the book.
It’s an endless hedonist brag
Not flattering not pleasant not meaningful
Embarrassing
The last part ties Trump to Wenner
the similarities
How Wenners fame whore lead led us right to Trump getting elected
Finally
Wenner said some unforgivable nasty remark about Keith.
The End

ME ME ME ME ME ME
LOOK WHO I KNOW
I MADE ALL THE DIFFERENCE ME ME ME
And bragging on a carnal life no one wants to know about
if you need to air that soiled laundry
does it have to be in every chapter
I looked at the pictures in the back of the book b4 reading
and those pics turned me off sheer narcissism
Sorry

Wenner stating last minute ‘oh I don’t sign off / not authorized’
Lame.
I found the book, the morals, the relationships, grotesque.
The power, the ego, extremely unpleasant and no learned reflections or wisdoms acquired.
I felt sorry for Mick. I bet this guy bullied him for years.

I’ve said enough.

I really have a problem with Wenner for his mismanagement of the RnR HOF, and the mess of a magazine RS became. Ugh..

The fact that Wenner would not sign off on it makes me want to read it. It leads me to think that this author probably hit close to the bone. Which means it’ll be more insightful and honest.

Apparantly a documentary on Wenner is about to be released, dir Alex Gibney.
Reviews suggest its more complimentary.
Three obvious personality traits to describe Wenner.
An obsession with:
MONEY
FAME
SOCIAL CLIMBING.

Mick also?

Not sure what being gay has to do with anything here, unless you're simply seeking a pejorative take on being gay. Which fortunately, is becoming harder to do as less folks are willing to tolerate that kind of crap.

How very self-righteous of you. Such admirable virtue-signaling. Let me spell it out in clearer terms - Jann Wenner is no different than any devoted Jagger fangirl or fanboy - he's in loooove.
