Keith looks ten years younger than when he played in Hamburg.
The Stones are good for his health smiling smiley

How old did he look in Hamburg?

still, the tour is lacking some more variantion.

I get that you want that. But think about it. Why should they? For example in 1973 they played almost identical sets - each and every night. Do you really wanna say: Nah, in Brussels 1973 it was boring. Same songs as the nights before?

True, they played in 1972 USA pretty much all of the exact set in 1973 Australia to Europe . I loved it

You went to every show in 1972-1973? Wooow Great!

well, maybe I tend to think that:
a.) nowadays more people go to more than one or two shows (maybe I'm wrong)
b.) sometimes I wonder if they think to themselves 'shit, if we had been varying our setlists more back in the 70s we now could see so much more stuff from the vaults
c.) I somehow got used to Bob Dylans everychanging setlists (at least when he done this until some years back
d.) I wonder that they don't get bored themselves by playing the same stuff over and over
e.) that they are risk avoiding pussys

Maybe the remaining two shows will have some nice surprises.

No. They will not. Sorry. It's better to stay home.

For me the nice suprise is the show. To see and hear them live - my favorite band in the world. Like right now - Midnight Rambler is so hot and tight, wonderful. Every night things are different. A chord, a scream, a beat, a look on a face. The little things. It is like life. You spoil the evening (for yourself) if you only look at the setlist.

If I lived in Paris I would see all 3 shows no doubt, since each show is different regardless of setlist, and 2 new songs would be enough if the playing was brilliant like in 2003 or even 2007, but this tour I'm more than happy with seeing just 1 (great) show.

still, the tour is lacking some more variantion, only two slot with some rotation is not enough (and it's also not the best idea that these two slots are nin a row)

Remember most of the audiences haven't seen the two Blues numbers live before.
Perhaps Keith will try two different numbers for the remaining two show's .
I gotta feeling.

The final Holy Trinity of shows for the No Filter Tour...these should be extra special!!!

Hmmm...ok...need to revise that statement...maybe not really extra special, but special nevertheless for those who are in attendance.
Maybe extra special for the final two shows?
Or hopefully the final show?

On another note, sort of surprised there have been no special guests this tour - not even at one show.
Even though they can be hit or miss depending on who it is and what song they play, might have added a bit of extra spice.
No Clapton, no Beck, no Buddy Guy, etc., etc., etc.,...and not even Timberlake, no Taylor Swift, no Ed Sheeran lol.
Seems Tina Turner or Angus Young would have been the perfect opportunity as they were either in the audience and/or backstage.
Also still think it's weird that She's a Rainbow and Play With Fire have been forgotten - those were highlights at the shows they were played at!

Glad Under My Thumb and LSTNT were played to night! thumbs up

"...still, the tour is lacking some more variantion, only two slot with some rotation is not enough"

I wonder, slewan, when exactly the variety was "enough", for some fans... I had read somewhere that the Stones played 33 different songs on 1978 tour and 37 different songs during 1981 tour. After 25 and 50 songs respectively. If i estimated correctly, on the current tour they have played 33 songs, already. After 11 gigs...

well, I guess 3-5 slots featuring different songs would be good. And maybe change one war horse with another one. For example: Streetfighting Man/Paint It Black or Brown Sugar/JJF

and they shouldn't have droped the two more songs they played in Hamburg or rather keep these two additional slots

Thanks!
I saw Mick do two ballerina type spins in a row on one foot, along with alot of clapping and marching to the beat.

That sounded great!

Anyone know the song stats for the Licks tour?
Not only did they change the themes each night (Exile, Sticky Fingers, etc) with a few songs from each, but they also mixed it up alot for the small theater/club shows.
Based on that, my guess would be the most variety of any tour...

Have to say I like Sasha/Sarah's vocals on Gimme Shelter better than Lisa who used to kind of turn it into a circus act.
Both amazing singers, but a bit of restraint seems to be a better fit.

see: [www.setlist.fm]

but don't get fooled by the sheer number of songs performed during tours. For you can get a high number of performed songs by doing the same setlist 50+ times and then adding a handful of club shows with only rare songs and/or one offs…
(it's just like with the no filter tour - 37 songs in 11 shows sounds good at first glance, but we all know that nearly all songs that are not performed on ever show were performed just once…)
