I’d never heard the story about Mick playing a bum chord on ASMB. Good one.

Fantastic stuff! Love it. Very interesting that him and Keltner were hanging round the bridges sessions for 3 months!

Stories like these are always interesting. It seems to me Waddy's memories are rather
detailed. That can either mean he has told his stories over and over, so they became
part of the folklore around being in a band, or he has an exceptional capacity to remember
details.

Edit: The story about the yellow Les Paul that Keith calls "Dice" that Waddy tells, differs
a bit from Keith' version that he named this guitar Dice after a couple of dice grained
the front of that guitar.
Waddy implies the guitar was used to record Tumbling Dice doesn't he? Could that also be correct?

Just as long as the guitar plays, let it steal your heart away

I agree, except for when the context is clear.
Anyway, in this case I guess they refer to Anybody Seen My Baby.

It could be that this is the guitar Keith did his slide track with on the TD original?

Also, Keith just makes s**t up on the fly, and so probably tells a different story every time

Isn't this Keith's Out of Control and Rambler guitar on stage?

It’s kind of fascinating to me that Waddy — a “Keith guy” — was brought into a dysfunctional environment and ended working pretty closely with Mick. I wonder if, despite being at loggerheads themselves, Mick and Keith agreed they needed Waddy to make up for *Ronnie’s* deficiencies in that period.

Very interesting, sounds like he should be producing the Stones album, not Don Was that pretty much everyone here has suspected of being useless. This story pretty much confirms this . First he doesn't hear the problems in the guitar part and then he doesn't have the balls to tell Mick !

Having said that the story is a bit odd. Does Mick really need to scribble chord diagrams on his famous little notebook ? Wouldn't he come up with them by ear ? Oh well, never let the truth get in the way of a good story like Bill Wyman likes to say ;-)

In so many words, he reveals why there was no tour to support “Crosseyed Heart”: Keith can’t meet the physical demands of singing and fronting every night. Makes sense. I think we all knew it.

I agree, I have sorted through videos for every song played for ten shows so far from NoFilter, I feel he's struggling to keep up his side of the guitar weaving , preferring to let Ronnie carry the song. It must be tough to play with arthritis in his fingers as bad as his too.
