He previously pulled out of the festival due to it being a “corporate turn-off” due to the BBC's partnership, before reversing the decision

OMG! One of his greatest songs. Fingers crossed for Hyde Park but I doubt he will play it.

I saw Neil in Groningen on Tuesday night. Van Morrison was the opening act. It was like 36 degrees celcius out there in the blistering sun. I never cared much for Van, but enjoyed a few of his songs. His backing singers were in fine form.

Neil's skills on the acoustic are not what they once were. He leaves out or misplaces notes quite a lot and just plays the essential parts. Personally I don't care, because he still delivered. His voice remains strong and I was quite surprised by it.

Highlights of the show were Harvest Moon, Like a Hurricane and Sun Green. He also played Looking Forward, a CSN&Y song, which I love to play on the acoustic myself.

Hey Hey, My My was terrible though in my opinion. I didn't even recognise it at first. He chose to play it on the electric and it pretty much lost all its subtle charm.

Neil finished with Keep On Rocking In The Free World and seemingly blew up the amp while playing the final notes.

Tomorrow I will go and see the Teskey Brothers on the same stage. Looking forward. ;-)

It’s an electric song lol. The other one My My Hey Hey is acoustic.

Neil was great in Hyde Park last night and I really hope this was not the last time I see him live. Great versions of Cowgirl in the Sand, Southern Man, Love to Burn, Cinnamon Girl and Harvest Moon (probably the best received song all night where I was standing) and barnstorming encores of Throw Your Hatred Down and Rocking in the Free World. Long live Neil Young!

The real downside was that he had to cut short his set (Like a Hurricane was dropped even though the keyboard descended from above) and the power was cut right at the end of Rocking in the Free World. This was all due to Yusuf (I can make a lot more money calling myself Cat Stevens again) Islam overrunning instead of getting off the stage on time. And Yusuf, you can stick your politics where the sun don't shine! I hope I am not unfortunate to be at the same venue as him again. And HTF was he billed higher than Van Morrison?

I was trying to find out how much tickets will be no luck.The tour is 13 Shows same as this Summer so I think no more shows will be added strange no shows in Germany.It could change no show even remotely near Prague will have to plan this one out….Next summer is shaping out well…..First snowfall in Prague last night winter has begun…Peace.M

I'm not surprised that no shows in Germany are on the list. The shows in Stuttgart and Mönchengladbach last year didn't sell well (I'm not sure about Berlin) – most likely because of the steep prices. For the show in Stuttgart they even added very cheap Lucky Dip tickets a couple of weeks before the show to fill empty seats. Tickets prices for very good seats for the show in Mönchengladbach were dropped, too.

The last 2 Concerts are in Italy….For now anyway….Tickets for normal standing not to bad….Lucca 79€ …..Codroipo 89€…Both outdoors the venues look like there a type of park so I am fine with that….I am not to worried about them selling out….Berlin this summer was a sellout…..Peace.M

I literally just watched this clip the other day where Neil talks about sometimes he's into doing something, and sometimes he's not. He's always been that way, so its kind what I thought when I read it. Maybe he's just changed his mind, it certainly wouldn't be the first time:

Definitely possible. I hope you're right.

He cancelled the tour to stand with Keith. (I am joking) With all of the post 75 year old musicians outcomes like this are always possible. Lets see if he plays anything in the US or whether last year was it.

I will be in Europe during the planned dates. I will need to find others to see.
