Certainly looks like Chuck Berry on right. However, I’m not sure that is Neil
Young in the middle. Maybe... since it does resemble his playing “stance”.

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Chuck Berry induction, 1986

Chuck Berry, Keith Richards, Jerry Lee Lewis, Neil Young – "Roll Over Beethoven"

As Wood told Trouser Press later that year, Neil Young wanted to be involved. "He came down from San Francisco to meet Keith, 'cause they'd never met and, as things had it, the timing was wrong -- Keith was unreachable while Neil was in L.A., and then Neil had to return to San Francisco," he chuckled. "I told Neil not to worry about it, that Keith and I would come up and see him there. By the time Keith showed up, though, Neil had gone down to Acapulco to take a break from editing his film."

I still would like to see/hear them play.
'
Love Neil's electric blues guitar playing on "You Don't have to go" and "Baby What you want me to do". Not to mention his vocals. Shows What he can do playing those traditional blues #'s ...which one does not typically think of when discussing Neil's' music.

Hard to believe that as late as 1979 Keith and Neil had never met. Especially since they crossed paths as early as 1966, when Buffalo Springfield opened for the Stones at the Hollywood Bowl.

I'm excited to see POTR on their own, opening for the Stones in Seattle. They are a good, solid opening act. Lukas Nelson is definitely on the rise.

I’m seeing Neil and Dylan at Hyde Park concert in London. Built our whole overseas trip around this show.

Also gonna visit Liverpool to see where it all started for The Fabs.

Liverpool was a real highlight of my trip to see the Stones last year.
Excellent exhibit at the Liverpool Museum on Lennon (Double Fantasy) curated by Yoko still going on there, really worth the time. Also, highly recommend the Magical Mystery bus tour..
Have a great time!!

Promise of the Real were great on Colbert last night. Good song. Micah Nelson was playing with them, hope that continues. Definitely need to get to show in Seattle in time to see them with the Stones!

the man seems to be getting senile – he played Powderfinger yesterday twice at Dresden (# 2 and # 17 in the setlist)

Nice - one of my favorite tunes of all time, and to hear it twice would have been incredible!!!
For what it's worth, not the first time he's played the same song twice at a show.

C'mon... NY played "Going Home" twice in Rotterdam 2001. If he plays sth twice it means he just likes the song...

Otoh... grinning smiley during his 1990 Montreux gig Dylan said (before Across The Borderline) : "Alright, we wanna play this song again. You heard it already once tonight. It's SO good you'll hear it again".
Alrite... but setlists and tapes show the song was played only once that night.

Just got back from Waldbühne. Very nice concert, especially the acoustic part, not so much the last bit for my taste. But great sound, beautiful venue and good crowd. The guy in the orange shirt in Front row really enjoying made me smile. Hats off!
As I have never seen Neil before, I was surprised how little he talked to his audience. Not that I would complain, pretty used to even greater extend from Dylan. It's the music that counts!
