I was there last night in absolutely freezing Winnipeg. Pretty great show - Neil and Nils Lofgren guitar dueling away. ‘Only’ 18 songs and right at 2 hours - he ‘may’ have been holding back a little for tonight’s show. And once again - Hurricane eluded me. But still - it was awesome.

______________________________________________________________

The Crazy Horse set seemed to start a bit sluggish, but could be partially due to the badly muffled sound of the livestream (as well as the fact they haven't performed since last May),
I read some great reviews from fans who were there, so would say it was the bad livestream mostly to blame. For last weeks livestreams, the sound was crystal clear perfection, whereas last night it was like listening to it through a blizzard. And then a few songs into their set, the livestream went silent (a blessing really):

On the bright side, another go at the livestream tonight!

Same place, same time, same channel...thumbs up...testing 1-2-3.

Figures - he did Hurricane the 2nd night. It's like how I just kept missing Moonlight Mile (which I thankfully finally did catch in Milwaukee).
Back home safely in Boston after a couple nights in -8F Winnipeg.

Livestream went smooth and without a hitch for the first 70 minutes into the set with crisp, clean sound.
Solo set was great - War of Man...a favorite, along with Don't Let it Bring You Down, and Journey Through the Past. Then Crazy Horse came blasting out opening with a blasting version of Rockin' In The Free World.
And then during Cortez...buffering, refresh, buffering, refresh...dang it...frustrating to see 20 seconds and have to refresh - impossible to enjoy.
But hey hey, my my...what can a poor boy do ...winking smiley...the last four songs of the set were perhaps the highlight if I would have been able to watch it without interruption.

2019-02-04, Centennial Concert Hall, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada w/ Crazy Horse.

Opening solo set:
1. Out On The Weekend
2. Distant Camera
3. War Of Man
4. Old King

W/Crazy Horse
8. Rockin' In The Free World
9. Danger Bird
10. Wonderin'
11. The Losing End
12. Roll Another Number
13. Winterlong
14. Cortez The Killer
15. F*!#in' Up
---
16. Like A Hurricane
17. Hey Hey, My My (Into The Black)

On the bright side, this message posted on NYA:

2-5-19

We just wrapped up with a beautiful Crazy Horse set. We all enjoyed the vibe. It was an unreal experience. Crazy Horse was floating in the zone.
Nils, Billy, me and Ralphie all played like our life depended on it. The Horse Dream happened right in front of our eyes. The Horse is back. Wild and Free.

It was captured in high res and in a livestream by NYA. The rumbling horse was lost in its dream. We plan to share it with the world. 6AM to 10PM CST.
NYA/NY

Long break until his next shows starting in May, but chances are good there will be something happening with Neil before then!

Thanks for the heads up Cristiano - only $20 for annual subscription - has already been worth it to me, and I haven't even taken advantage of any exclusive presales yet.
I recall the Who charging way more than that for presale access alone, and that's all you got. ZZ Top the same. And I think U2 also. In this case, access to presales and tons of stuff in the archives, not to mention the livestreams, etc.

Dolly Partons sang 'After The Gold Rush' at the Grammy's last night and changed the line "And I felt like getting high' to 'I felt that I could cry'....spinning smiley sticking its tongue out

According to Wiki:

Parton also released a solo version of the song in 1996, though her version altered the line "I felt like getting high" to "I felt like I could cry" with the permission of Neil Young.

Not sure if there's a different Dolly solo version, but here's the version with Dolly Parton,Linda Rondstadt and Emmylou Harris from their album Trio II recorded in 1994, but not released until 1999.
It won a Grammy for Best Country Collaboration.

Trio - After the Goldrush
______________________________________________________________

And in an odd twist, via wiki:

Five of the ten tracks on this album (Trio II) first appeared on Linda Ronstadt's 1995 album Feels Like Home: "Lover's Return", "High Sierra", a cover of Neil Young's "After the Gold Rush" (with Valerie Carter and string arrangements by David Campbell), "The Blue Train" (a top-40 solo hit for Ronstadt), and the title song to the Ronstadt album, the Randy Newman-composed "Feels Like Home". The album reached the top five on Billboard's Country Albums chart as well as number 62 on Billboard's main album listing.

The songs were recorded in 1994 by Parton, Ronstadt and Harris, but label disputes and conflicting schedules of the three women prevented their release at the time. Eventually, Ronstadt remixed the five above-mentioned tracks (sans Parton's vocals) to include in Feels Like Home. In 1999 (after Parton and Harris had parted ways with their respective labels), they decided to release the album as originally recorded.

Linda Ronstadt - After the Goldrush

Have to say both versions above are quite nice (and sounding nearly identical), but no doubt Neil's original is far superior.

First Aid Kit covered Trio's take on After The Goldrush last tour which was spectacular. They are a fun band worth checking out. Two sisters from Stockholm Sweden backed by 3 excellent musicians doing Americana music.

I loved that they did After the Gold Rush at the Grammys!

Here is a sweet version from the Letterman show 1999.

You're welcome grizzly - difficult for me to navigate through the Dutch ticketmaster page as it's all in Dutch, but it looks like there are seated options available?
For instance, I clicked on Ingang Noord 1e Ring-Vak 102 which translates to Entrance North 1st Ring-box 102, and this ticket appeared avialable.

Sectie Ingang Noord 1e Ring-Vak 102
Rij 2
Stoel(en) 43
Informatie Rang 2: Zitplaatsen geplaceerd

Translates to:

Section Entrance North 1st Ring Box 102
Row 2
Chair (s) 43
Information Grade 2: Seats covered

Anyhow, code is still active for four tix for this show - NrQKmZcCkS
