1997 Chicago (First Show from the BTB Tour)

My first ever Stones show!! I have about 3 different bootlegs from this show and they are all in heavy rotation. Won't ever be released thought because it wasn't a good representation of the tour. Only 2 BTB songs in setlist because the album hadn't been released yet. Great setlist though-19th Nervous Breakdown, Ruby Tuesday, Let it Bleed, The Last Time, and a great version of Little Queenie.

I'm hoping for at least one title a year. Just about anything will do.

Phiadelphia (arena show) 2002 - Great setlist, great playing

Dublin 2003 both shows - Somewhat sloppy but fun gigs

Hollywood Bowl 2005 - Excellent shows according to IORR reviews (I've heard very few great ABB shows)

It's hard to say when we have no idea what they have in their vaults. What, if anything live, that ABKCO has in it's vaults. Does Bill have something no one else has? For such a famous band, it's a little odd they don't have more footage. It would be incredible to have a later era Brian concert, but that would only be about 20 minutes, and at what quality?

Now that they've released No Security, I wouldn't be excited by anything else post-Wyman. (I would certainly LOVE to hear the Wyman rehearsals back in 2012, and to hear them all talk about the old days. That would have made a great documentary).

If there's video of them on the European '73 tour, that would be fantastic. That was their smokin' best on stage.

And how long before we get an anthology of their videos? Even if ABKCO isn't included, it would be great to have the '71 onward videos with killer Blu Ray sound.

Most vault shows would be welcome. However there's a few already circulating pro-shots I really don't want to see released:

Tokyo Dome 1995 (way too polished and stiff playing)

Saitama 2006 (uninspired performance)

Newark 2012 (Lady Gaga and Bruce Springsteen doesn't belong in a Stones show)

At least release the "Light the fuse" club show, which is probably ready for release.

There wasnt much need to film 1960's or 1970s shows unless they were for a movie.

They werent broadcasting shows (with a couple of exceptions - Marquee '71 and Paris '76) , the era of home videos didnt come in until the 1980's and filming shows for use on screens in large venues was pretty much unheard of.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing but no one in that era could have foreseen that there would be a market for this kind of thing decades later or that a format would have existed for it to be widely sold.

Plexi comment: Specifically the second show at the O2, Basti and TheBlockbuster. That was a great show, probably the second greatest Stones show I have ever seen.

Honestly I think they should put out Wiltern 2003. They put out a couple tracks on Four Flicks and Live Licks. The band was on fire that night and it has been ready for release for years.

There are still heavy doubts if this Show was recorded. Would have made a great charity release Sponsoring heart disease research, btw.

Now there are two threads on the same topic, BV will soon merge them, but which one will get merged to which? Probably this one to the other as it is older.

Let´s be realistic: Theres not much left from the "old" era to be released.

Paris 76 is a pretty safe bet, they are working on it.

Also, reading the Universal contract news from 2 weeks ago, they obviously will release most of the old video catalog again (with Atlantic City 89 in addition), hopefully this time complete shows.

I guess thats more or less what we have to expect the next years.
I would like to get Tokyo95 on blu ray but this may even become a Vault-japan-special-edition release, like the alternate Tokyo90 show.

What is so great about Paris '76? It is often mentioned and I have seen the video on Youtube, not overly impressed. LA '75 is better.

I also like the 1975 tour better but people want a Paris 1976 show because it was recorded in good sound quality and video exists. Much of the Love You Live album comes from the Paris 1976 shows.

Paris 76 will arrive which is great news too

Voodoo Lounge tour and Bridges To Babylon tour need to be documented (stadium shows) and there are many shows that can be used in both cases. VL will be next.
