I've never understood how the phrase "slept with" replaced "had sex with". Very often there is no "sleeping" involved (or so I've heard). It's like saying "My dog 'went to the bathroom' on the rug."

Suffice to say that rock stars could get away with a lot more in the 60s and 70s than they can now. Just look at the lyrics to Stray Cat Blues. I always felt that for the Stones in the say 1966 to 1972 range that underage girls were literally throwing themselves at them. It was a more permissive time in some ways and underage girls could be out roaming the streets at night and it was pretty much normal. These are just my gut feelings about London in that era. Just open up the back door to the recording studio and take your pick. It's a funny dynamic that whole musician-sex thing. Rock stars never had to "seduce" a lot of women. Rather they just looked and them and said come up to my hotel room and within five minutes the dynamics would be established. Wasn't it Gene Simmons that released a book about ten years ago where he said that he slept with about 2000 women?

would the Plaster Casters even raise a .. a.. a.. eeerrr a mention these days ????

Heck they'd most likely just phone the evidence in anyway ....

That's all I got.

We have a wooden floor downstairs with a small rug on the floor just in front of the toilet door. Last week our dog was bombing round the house doing that mad minute thing dogs do and he ran full pelt, hit the rug and slid into the downstairs toilet. He literally went to the bathroom on the rug.
It was a lot funnier than some of the stuff being discussed here.

At this rate we'll discover the only clean "enterntainment" industry is the porn industry!
No one will touch a girl below 18. ><

The girls who partied with rock musicians were certainly not coerced, although I would think R Kelly and Chuck Berry would have been pretty negative experiences. Everyone got what they wanted. But when I see all the smiling "victims" with their arms around Harvey Weinstein, I think they got what they wanted too.

in the uk, a 16 year old boy could sleep with a 15 year old girl, and there could be only weeks in age difference but it is illegal and if caught the boy will be charged and placed on the sex offenders register.

and then a 56 year old man could sleep with a 17 year old and that would be deemed legal. however its obvious to me that one is morally more wrong than the other.

Well, except there have been cases of young girls (almost) been encouraged by their Mothers to hang out with celebs/ rock stars. And presumably they weren't there to discuss politics or climate change, for example.
