As far as 'Coming Down Again' is concerned, didnt Keith say in some interview or so, that, due to the subject of the lyrics, there's no chance he would ever perform it live? I forget if he said that in the 70s or more recently.

Has being hungry become a crime?

Lol, who knows what Keith meant by it. Perhaps the 'someone else's pie' part? But nah... or he was only joking at the time.

Maybe he'll throw in something different in Paris since it's three shows. In the past they've always mixed the setlists up pretty good if they play multiple shows in the same city. I would sure love to hear Play With Fire once more, hint hint!!

Lose your dreams and you will lose your mind...

From your lips to Keef’s ears, Rockeee. Maybe someone can whisper to Chuckie, might be better luck there.

"Keith does not tweet, dig?" per his Twitter acct. Nor does he read this thread.

I believe he faxes. He and Charlie fax which is awesome.

He was fiddling about with an iPad in his CH-documentary. The world moves forward, it seems smiling smiley

haha love it... Keith and Charlie fax eachother. spinning smiley sticking its tongue out

I LOVE Slipping away! I was deeply moved by his performance in Düsseldorf, it was really beautiful. After all, (sorry but) look at him, he looks worn from drugs and alcohol in the past, he looks old and fragile. He is slowly slipping away himself. Every grateful smile he made made me really happy.

My opinion and thoughts ; Simple , Keith plays Happy because he is Happy that he is still playing with the band.
And he is playing Slipping Away ( i think ) because he knows there is a ending at the horizon.
Look around you , there are so many musicians off his age passed away the last years, the man is not blind. Who does not become melancholic about this?

Makes sense...kind of bittersweet and melancholic when you think of it like this...

Hell, I thought it was the end when it finished off the Steel Wheels album 28 years ago! It was the end, in a sense. Wyman left, and also the Golden Age was over. Maybe it just seems more poignant now.

The Stones don’t like to do a lot of changes in the setlist like Springsteen. It’s save and most of the people want to hear those greatest hits songs. We don’t have to expect any songs changes anymore except song 6 and 7 of the setlist. The Stones play for everybody who wants to hear the Stones. Not only (or only not ;-) ) for the “die hard” fans like us.

I am so weary of the BS line that "99% of the crowd is new every night". There's no evidence to support this claim. It's the standard excuse to account for the stagnation of the setlist.

The Keith set is fine, in my eyes, but let's stop with the propaganda we've been exposed to for years and years. I remember the same line about the show in Halifax in 2006.

I’d take a buddy holly song like he did a few years back

I think everybody loves Happy but it would be nice if he switches to Little T&A because its a crowd pleaser. My favorite memory of a KEEF song is The Worst, because he says he is the worst kind of man to be around, but actually he is the BEST to be around! So humble.

I like ‘em too. But if he feels like mixing it up, I’d love to hear Thru and Thru someday, with Charlie giving those good kicks.

He should flatten everybody and do Connection. He did it with the Winos in '88, and it was great. Even slipping in You Don't Have To Mean It would be novel.

It is not particular to Keith's block.

This tour has the most stable setlist since decades (I guess in the 70's they used to operate also with a more or less fixed set. Basicly its 20 songs, the exact same order, and only the 6th and 7th numbers vary. There are only a few shows of exceptions so far.

He did Connection with Mick in 1995. That flattened people even more, I presume smiling smiley

They should do it again for Paris thumbs up

He played Connection quite a few times in 2006.
