It truly is a fun game to play It is a buzz on its own.
Back in the day... 1979-1989 I saw everyone that came around,
tickets only cost 10-30 bucks and I saw tons of shows, quite often by myself.

I used my Canon AE1 with a zoom lens. I usually stuck the lens in one sock
and the camera body in the other. It was like big game hunting, only using
a camera and the subjects were my favorite rock and roll bands. It was a ton
of fun and I never got caught.

I was a fan of the music and did it for fun.
I never made penny, it was all for fun... and the love of the game.

One of the most beautiful concert settings ever.

Very nice indeed ! The Fuji X100F seems to be a really good option.

I chose my Canon M6, as I'm normally using the bigger 5d MkIV and therefore lenses are there already.

At first I tried my big lenses on the M6, but now as everything (bags) gets restricted, I switched to the cheap small M-lenses.

The 55-200mm M is much better than I thought. And easier to hide ;-)

Thanks - I'd have been much more comfortable with a zoom, but the x100f has a nice APS-C sensor (though I'd have preferred 50mm)

I touched all of these up in Lightroom to bring out the brightness....

I shoot approx 200 concerts a year - this was one of the hardest to get a camera into..

Oh yes, it is getting muching worser over time.

As along as bags were allowed, it was always easy enough.

Now the dangerous private photographer seems to be the highest risk in the business.

Anyway, giving up is no option ;-)

I prefer the UK - even nowadays after enhanced security (e.g. Guns N Roses in London) they didn't care about any camera (although it was written on the tickets itself).

Yep - got my zoom into GnR no problem in London...and virtually everywhere else in the world bar Hamburg

my boys got no filter pit tickets for their luckys, me and my wife prato B

Our Lucky's were also only Prato B, hated to see all that space available in Prato A but nearly nothing from the original stage, although close to the rail in B.

Has anybody a full video of slipping away from Lucca available for upload? Would love to cut my snippets in...

How many people has attended Lucca show:57K or 45K?!Are there officialy statements about this?!

I hear (from family) Lucca is still abuzz about the Stones gig. The producer's want to bring in other big acts (Springsteen, U2, McCartney, even a Pink Floyd reunion) to the spot. Seems the powers that be aren't so receptive to the idea.
