Doesn't he always wear them during SFTD?
Here it is in 2006 and he is not.....Quote

Jeez, I think he's been wearing them for Sympathy since 2005 from what I can remember.
It's not every night for some reason, but I'm pretty sure he started wearing them periodically on the Bigger Bang tour.Quote

He's gotta be playing to a click track for that song, or he needs to hear the sampled percussion. That's the only reason I can see.Quote

At least 12 years or so he's been using them. Only during SFTD

Most bands use in-ear monitors...Charlie is old-school.

I thought he'd been using headphones ever since they started doing SFTD with a loop back on the Steel Wheels Tour. Yes, I could be wrong.

He listens to podcasts on horse racing, it pumps him up for the warhorses.
I don't think you even see a shot of Charlie playing drums on Live at the Max.Quote

That's what I also thought.....
Should be fairly easy to check... look at the Atlantic City PPV DVD, or even At The Max?

Keith Moon used to wear them during Baba O'Reilly and Won't Get Fooled Again to keep pace with the synthesizers/keyboards.
Alex Van Halen also used to wear them during the Van Hagar years when they played Right Now.

Good Call DGA35. Moon the Loon wore buffs quite a lot tho' usually around his neck !! Nick Mason and Roger Taylor used them too. Jimmy Chamberlin pioneered the in-ear monitor. What is this post all about?! Charlie's probably deaf to all of this..............................
Yes, I'd forgotten about the B2B B-stage. However, I don't recall him wearing them on the main stage for Sympathy prior to 2005.

Cholie wears EX-29 "Extreme Isolation" headphones so he doesn't have to endure Keef's lead and solo guitar "playing" during Sympathy...
He put it on his personal rider.
