I really wonder if they're able to sell out three stadiums in/around London.
Maybe the just announce one or two of these shows first and see how they sell…

London is one of the richest cities in the world with plenty of people who have buckets of cash to throw around.
All these shows will be full.

Nate

Even in 1982 with ridiculous cheap ticket prices there were only two London shows. I don't know if they sell out three stadium shows with 10-20 as high prices in the middle of the Brexit crisis.

The U.K has two different economies London and the south east and then the rest of the country.Of course there are areas of poverty in London and very affluent areas elsewhere in the country but most of the wealth in the U.K is undeniably concentrated in London and the south east.
Take a look at property prices around the U.K and you will see exactly what I mean.

What Brexit crisis? Our economy has continued to grow and we've had no recession. Yes, the pound's dropped about 10c against the Euro, but apart from that, for most people day-to-day living hasn't changed at all and we're just getting on with it. And I voted remain btw. Life goes on...

London has lots of poverty too, but there are certainly enough people willing and able to fill 3 Stones stadium shows even at today's prices.

we will see. Anyway with 8 shows in the UK they'll have to sell some 400.000 tickets to sell them all out, i.e. one in 165 Britons has to buy a ticket…

Actually it's not my problem. I have luck this time. Two shows within 200 kms (Berlin and Prague). Last year the nearest show was more than 500 km away.

My line-up, subject to changes:

Dublin
London #1
Twickenham
Stuttgart
Prague
Warsaw

Start, middle and end. Could be I switch Stuttgart for another UK show but that will depend where/when it is and how crazy airfare is.

Was thinking Marseille but I can actually fly and stay in Stuttgart for the price of the (indirect) Helsinki-Marseille flights. Now the ticket to the show is another matter...

Yeah, some folks here seem to have Thousands of bucks or whatever for Stones tours each year without having to work a lot. Good for them.

I'm betting a pint of Guinness that you take in another Stones show before the tour is over.

Just negotiating cancelling our holiday to New York as we are due to fly out on 17th May. Anyone want to buy our flights ? eye rolling smiley

Hate missing the opening show

Hoping to do up to 10 shows.

Possibly ending with flight to Berlin and on to Marseille before returning home.

Then again maybe not.

I suppose it depends on how much money you have layed out on your New York trip.
If indeed you do cancel your flights be aware that you can claim the tax portion of the flight price back, not many people know about that.

Stuttgart Cannstatter Wasen/Field: They played there in 1999. Audience: 80000.
Remembering 1999 (in German)

First of all, the 1999 Stones show had an exact crowd of 65,200, as documented here (I was there), and the number is official ticket sales rounded by me to the nearest 100, the 80,000 number is just a rumour repeated too many times.

Secondly, I was told the Stuttgart show will be at the stadium, I am updating the IORR list now.

I didn't know that Nate. We will be about £800 out of pocket. Is it a straight 20% tax on flights ?

Is it Chorzów instead of Prague on July 4th?

July 9 in Chorzów is playing GNR, so the TRS concert must be much earlier.

Why? I don't think show will be in Chorzow - only Warsaw is in the game. Chorzow has big concert on 9th July - Guns N Roses. And it was said that Guns will open the stadium after renovation.

I'm not entirely sure about the percentage I think it can vary on different flight routes best to give your airline a call.
Alternatively take your trip to New York one of the greatest cities in the world and see some Stones shows later on in the tour.

There are those screens in Chorzow. Look at posts above.

My plan is:

Dublin
London #1
Southampton
Manchester #1
Birmingham (if on a weekend)

And maybe Edinburgh (if on a weekend

I have tickets to see Pearl Jam at the o2 on the same night as the Twickenham show.... wondering whether I give these up and go to Twickenham instead....

That was my initial thought , but New York will still be there when the Stones have stopped...........I'm hopeless tbh !
