It's an open field, where they held something similar tobthe Octoberfest in Munich. Just click on the link I posted.

So where is the location of Stuttgart show? cannot find it.

Next to the stadium.

One of the best B2B shows featuring the No Security intro took place there in May 99

Wonder what happend with the Cardiff show ???

AFAIK there will be no Slane Castle show this year, so that rules that out

There IS the demand, and curiosity from younger people, proven by Glasto and the 2 HP concerts. Plus 5 years of waiting. The only thing that can ruin it is the ticket prices. HP was £95 so if they can stick to that ...is this wishful thinking?

Almost certainly, unfortunately - although I'd expect a higher % of the tickets to be in the pricier categories in London than elsewhere.

Saying that, I'd like to believe that the LD tickets will be considerably cheaper than that.

They probably think that up to 5-6 shows in the south of UK (we are talking about 3x London, Southampton, Birmingham at the moment) are enough. Maybe they'll add Cardiff later if sales are better than expected.

My guess (some others here are professional guessers, I know)
is that Stuttgart (field, 65.000 people) must be on June 30th,
the Saturday (bv said June/July). You can´t fill a field
midweek with all those travelling from abroad.

Obviously, considering Twickenham is only allowed 3 concerts a year - and they already have 2 Eminem - that means that their application to extend to 4 shows for 2 x Rolling Stones shows was denied

Birmingham is not in the south of the UK and neither is Cardiff. I t makes less sense to play Birmingham which is about an hour and a half from Manchester.

What about the Maifeld in Berlin?

It's maybe a possibility if Olympic Stadium would not be available and Waldbühne would be too small ....

Berlin Maifeld - approx. 88,000 square meters - Google Maps

if it's the same stadion as they played in 2006 when I was there, the 1936 Nazi Olympic stadion, they must have added a partial roof/covering over the seats as I don't recall that being there at the time.

For me and nearly everybody Cardiff and Birmingham are both in the south half of the UK. That's what I meant. Also I don't think they will play Manchester twice plus Birmingham. Instead of Manchester II (which would probably not sell out) there might be Birmingham. I think UK people can't really complain. That's not a very big region with at least 10 shows since 2012 - Germany is much bigger and gets only 7.

Birmingham is central in location for the UK ( midlands )

Stuttgart Cannstatter Wasen/Field: They played there in 1999. Audience: 80000.

I'd like to know what happened for the Cardiff show to fall through, money, timing? Just curious considering that it had been said on here since sept 2017 that Wales should get a show on the "UK" tour

the only posivite thing about that site is that there's a lot of public transport nearby (on the other hand: Stuttgart's central station is a mess, since it's being rebuild). The negative site is that the place is really huge. They could easily put up a layout for 100.000 people…

Be really disappointing if Cardiff misses out but it's beginning to look that way. With the coverage it had in the local media I assumed it was a done deal.

Maybe the promotors in Southhampton offered more money?

I really wonder if they're able to sell out three stadiums in/around London.
Maybe the just announce one or two of these shows first and see how they sell…

London is one of the richest cities in the world with plenty of people who have buckets of cash to throw around.
All these shows will be full.

Even in 1982 with ridiculous cheap ticket prices there were only two London shows. I don't know if they sell out three stadium shows with 10-20 as high prices in the middle of the Brexit crisis.

we will see. Anyway with 8 shows in the UK they'll have to sell some 400.000 tickets to sell them all out, i.e. one in 165 Britons has to buy a ticket…
