So..from half of june till end of july 2018 or july and august.i have to apply for my holiday breaks in time. What period should be okay.
Jeroen.

June / July has to be favourite....they always (nearly) tour in World Cup year during the tournament, maybe with Knebworth tacked on at the end in early August.

This Moustique magazine keeps talking about the UK tour and also Belgium. Wonder what his source

This is what he says about it:
Et la suite ?
Comme nous vous l’avions déjà annoncé, les Stones vont programmer de nouveaux concerts pour l’été 2018. L’Angleterre, oubliée de ce premier volet de la No Filter Tour, sera visitée. La Belgique est aussi en tête de liste (on rappelle que la scène des Stones est créée chez nous dans les ateliers StageCo appartenant à un certain Herman Schuermans. Ce n’est pas encore officiel mais, perso, on pronostique pour eux un TW Classic.

In another review he mentioned that the dates will be set at the end of this year. Are they only guessing, or do they have a reliable source?

A Theory

A Theory, and its just that.
having watched and listened to all that's been said about the band on this tour I have a crazy notion.
there has been a lot of talk about some or maybe all songs being a tad " slower" tempo for some..
here's my crazy theory......
They are bringing it back home so to speak to where it all began.. ie. London.
next year is the end. and it will end in London town where it all began in the original grove.. hence....
told ya it is a crazy theory... Ha..

turned down a foo fighters ticket for Antwerp mid June, and opted for an easter holiday rather than end of May with the kids just in case...Also holding back on summer holiday plans til we know a bit more about dates. And Pearl Jam rumoured to be hitting Europe in Summer too. Holding tight...

If cheap flights come up for holidays, i will still book them.

If i have to fly back for a concert or two, so be it.

It would be nice to know dates thou.

Hopefully the wife will understand.smileys with beer

Dont know if it will be broadcasted. But he will be interviewed by an BBC host about his art, new Book etc. Think it was organized by Genesis publishers, if i remember correctly. Must be somewhere on the IORR site, was mentioned a few weeks ago.

The word in the Pit at Paris 3 was that July is a likely time frame for the tour. But who knows at this point.

10-12 gigs in just the UK and Ireland seems like a lot. If you think about it:

I can possibly see 10 but no more than that, i.e.

1 show in Dublin

1 show in Cardiff

1 show in Glasgow/Edinburgh

1 show in Newcastle

1 show in Manchester

1 show in Sheffield

3 shows in London

1 show in Knebworth

To get to 12 shows you'd need to add, say, a show in Belgium and a show in, say, Iceland!

Leeds,Bristol and Birmingham too could be good options, also two gigs in Scotland:Glasgow and Edinburgh.

as a northerner can't see more than one gig/venue between leeds, sheffield and manchester (and def not sheffield, don valley stadium from voodoo lounge, b2b and licks tour now demolished and nothing else really big enough). Only sizeable Leeds venue is Roundhay, and being a massive, banked park would be likely largely GA. My money would be on the Etihad. Seems to get the Northern leg of most stadium tours at the mo (Sheeran and Foo Fighters playing next summer) though old trafford (irregular concerts recently at cricket ground, e.g. radiohead, one love and the football ground also hosting a rare gig next year, Billy Joel) maybe?

Can't see Sheffield.

They evidently liked the Don Valley Stadium ...but that's closed down.

I can't see it starting as late as July. The football season starts in mid August and stadiums will need to be prepared including International stadiums (Wembley,Cardiff,Scotland, Ireland) for matches in the first few days of September. They also have to fit around other stadium concerts May / June (Ed sheeran / Roger Waters etc).

Depends if its a "tour" or just 2-3-4 gigs. And how big the venue is. If its 6 nights at Wembley they'll announce at least 6 months prior as they'll be looking to sell 300,000+ tickets at probably average £100

Just wondering if the Stones will finish the new album by the time this tour kicks off.
It would come as a welcome incentive and give more meaning and validity to the tour, not to mention some brand new songs to hear live hot smiley

Oh please Stones, new album for new tour, London OMG i can't wait. smileys with beer

In 1994 they finished the Voodoo-Lounge-Album in time for the identically named Tour .... maybe they'll do it again. winking smiley

Hyde Park 2013 wasn't officially announced until April, and it took place 3 months later.
