This is a classic.
Its as if Mick is thinking "bloody hell another stuffed up intro?"
Cmon Keith...LIFT !!!
As said on the Barcelona thread, it wasn't another stuffed up solo from Keith.
Keith started Rocks Off and completely cut Mick off as he was looking towards the screen to announce the song vote. Naughty Keith

I just watched SFM. Keith played it great but he looks very detached. I wonder if he is ill?

Got my idea.
I think about a musician I love we will never see again on stage.
I do not want to be defaming, then... silence.
But yes, I think it's that.
At what stage ?

It's fair enough that people don't like the solos. What I don't get is how important the solos on SFTD, HTW or GS are for some of you.
Some of the best songs in the world and you let a little sour cream in the icing on the cake destroy the experience for you?
I'll never understand that, and I'm a guitarist as well.
The man doesn't just routinely screw up solos. He consistently is unable to play any kind of steady rhythm, flubs intros to songs he has played thousands of time and is off time.
There are still flickers of the Keith of old but the guy is past it.

Not trying to detract from the ongoing Death Watch festivities that this tour has become for many of us, but here's a better "Rocks Off" clip from Barcelona. Stay with it and you'll see that while Mick was understandably pissed at the start; by about 55 seconds in, he and Keith and Ronnie seem to be laughing about it. It probably was an accident. Like actors in a play, musicians hit their paces as best they can when there's a missed cue. It's also a pretty good version as well. Not bad considering the rumors of Keith's imminent collapse as a performer.

To be in denial...is not very sexy...and it doesn´t impress me...My last Stones show was in Stockholm 2003...because I thought THAT was bad...

That was a link to Keith standing for nearly two minutes alone on stage basking in the love (plus the beginning of Happy).
Was this his greatest moment on stage in Barcelona?

Sorry hairball i have corrected it.
This clip is the difference to night and day, how the Stones performed Sympathy here to now. Mick is also so much better than today, miles apart.

The prerequisite for that to be true is that you are right and that the fans at the shows don't really enjoy what they see and hear.
I reckon you can see how arrogant that appears?

I see just as big of a decline between this SFTD from 2003: video: [www.youtube.com] and the 2006 version you posted. In just 3 years Keith's playing became slower and less precise, and Mick's singing became more nasal. Actually I was shocked how bad the ''Biggest Bang'' dvd-set was when it came out compared to the excellent ''Fours Flicks''.
Exactly , DP you are so right Keef has one of the fastest working minds ever ,I am sure it also helps that he has been asked everything multiple times and has seen and heard it all before .Quote

I was replying to Bjorns post, but you seemed to have overlooked all that.
You can pick at and edit my posts as you see fit, but I did say "there seems to be" which means that it's not stated as a fact - it's just an impression one gets.
And I followed that with "but there's also some who seem to genuinely like what they're hearing - can't really criticize them for that"....so what's your problem?
By zeroing in on one sentence, you've taken it all out of context, but if that's what you want to focus on then so be it.
And to be clear, I wasn't referring only to people at the shows who I'm sure there are many who enjoy what they're experiencing after investing so much time, money, etc.,
but also some of the people in this thread who weren't there.
The only arrogance I see around here is from someone whose constantly correcting others regarding their opinions about what they like or don't like.

edit: But never mind all that Dandelion - don't want to get in to a personal piss match with you. Enjoy the tour and whatever other shows you might be attending as I'm sure you will.
