just browsing through the latest photos of the stones in concert i noticed a significant difference in appearance from previous tours, i know they are not getting any younger and that some will say they have always looked old, but it was a bit of a shock.i just wonder how long they can keep this going.

any thoughts

My six years young grandson said to me a couple of weeks ago "granddad, you and grandma are too old to keep an eye on me" (his parents went to a party). "If the police comes they may take you away". I showed him a clip on my iPad ... a bit of live Stones from last year (Buenos Aires) and asked "are those guys old?" Answer: "but they are no granddads" ... "so you think they are not old?" ... "Indeed" ... "Well, granddad is going to have a "party" with those guys, so ... your granddad is not old" .... a puzzled look and ... silence winking smiley

All this rubbish talk about their age / about them looking old.

Here are guys of the same age, born 1943/1944. That´s what average
74 year olds look like (normally). grinning smiley

Now compare and just realize that the Stones are blessed.
They could be fat, handicapped or already dead.

They are for sure the coolest bunch at their age.

They look familiar especially the rock star lead singer in the red jacket, but what band is this? winking smiley

Funny thread imo. Anyone look in the mirror each day and say, " my I look so much younger than I did 2,5,10 years ago"? We age every second. The photos don't lie. It isn't how you look it though as much as it is how you feel. The band wants to keep playing. Good for them. They enjoy their jobs. This what we should aspire to become, happy working well into our 70's. In the end, aging is the inevitable part of our life cycle. We had best live it full while we are healthy. It's a short stay on the planet for all of us in the bigger picture.

Turn up the music and enjoy it!

That guy in the front row to the left of the one in the red jacket -- that's Nick Mason, isn't it?

Keith looks 20 years older than any of those guys but he's had way more fun!

There are some great Keith quotes about aging in this thread from way back:

So glad they don't interfere with age like Mr. McCartney.

On the contrary: [www.showbiz411.com]

Well, I guess I meant cosmetic treatment.
i thought he died in a car crash where he burnt his hair

Life's just a cocktail party on the street
