Best line in an ABB song

My vote is "I see love, I see misery...jamming side by side on a stage" from BOMH. That line captures the essence of the blues, IMO.

its actually "jammin side by side on the stand" which is a somewhat different meaning...

my favourite one is possibly "I never go out I'm becoming a grouch/I just watch the TV and I drink on the couch.."

and no, its not because I can relate to it, before any smartarse asks....;-)

I like that one too. winking smiley

Methinks I'll need to listen to the album once more to single out my favourite line though.

There are many good lyric lines on this album. Wow! you mean Jagger can still do that! So far I'll go with the one dj mentions and the one in my signature. (which btw they (ABC?) censored on tv the other night)

I ain't stupid, I'm just guitarded.

"Get out of my house with that Dirty old Mouse"

A classic. She's been out all night and needs to scrub that banged up "mouse". Fantasic line, only The Stones.

"The bankers are @#$%& every Thursday night/They just vomit on the ground"

It reads goofy on the page, but as a song lyric, it works.

The moon is yellow, I'm like jello, staring down you tit.

I see Goya, paranoia.

I heard you got a nickname: The lady with the leash.

Lots of cool stuff there.

"The moon is yellow, i'm a Jellow, staring down your tits"

and

"A sucker, I'm a sucker for her, though I was so cool"

Ok, that's not poetry, but it's so much fun!

"got to be worked on
don't have no bark nor bite..."

There are pretty many great ones, they haven't lost a thing.

-Obviously "Put your lips to my hips and tell me what's on your mind"
-Whole Laugh, I Nearly Died is a lyrical masterpiece and a proof that Jagger never stops surprising you - "I'm living in a fantasy/but it's way too far/this kind of loneliness/is way too hard." You would say he lives in a fantasy for real... Pretty good lyrics and deeply true.
-Goya's paranoias (went to see Goya's exhibiton last week just because of this lyrics, thank you Mick for another cultural experience that was worthsmiling smiley
- It won't take long to forget you, you know I'm never wrong... this song is sort of Under My Thumb of the new era
- Yeah there's something in Neocon I like, namely the first line for instance, though the lyrics are a bit awkward at times
- Love, misery, jamming side by side...wherewersmiling smiley Only real musicians can write a line like that, a great one.

All of Sweet Neo Con.

The one about for 10,000 quid, the bimbo spilling the beans. It seems as though Mick was more inspired to write for this record.
