MICK's voice sounds so beautiful on this song that when I heard it for the first time, I almost cried. I think it's the best heartbreaker song I've heard since Thats How Strong My Love Is on Live Licks.
LAUGH LAUGH LAUGH I almost cried. anyone else lovin this tune as much as me???
This is by far the best song on the album. It's ambition works. Very interesting layering of background vocal tracks. The best lyrics and performance by Jagger. The only thing I could do without is the Colin James 'Why'd You Lie?" guitar pattern. It sounds almost sampled. Colin opened for them before, so I wonder if this was subconsciously nicked.
You're right the ending really works. I wish they'd have pushed it even farther, it's one of the things that makes this a great choice for doing it live.
Poor,
CJ's been imitating the Stones for awhile now, why not imitate him back? He's pretty good with a guitar.
One of my favorites here, along with Let Me Down Slow, Won't Take Long, Rain Fall Down, and Dangerous Beauty . . . at least for today. Driving Too Fast is growing on me, too--almost Some Girls like.
This song is great, what a voice dont tell this to the HARDCORE FANS they will laugh at us.STONES BEST 2005 AS WELL IN 1963,JOKES IS ON YOU GUYS WHO LIVIN IN THE PAST,JUST LIKE STONES SAY YOU BETTER MOVE ON.KISH.
Nice song, good build, good lyrics.....but sorry, vocals just too stylised and manicured to be emotionally convincing. (Just another song, admittedly of high-calibre, which belongs on a Jagger solo album).
Keith's numbers are emotionally convincing (because he does 'sing' from the heart) - pity they are not such strong songs.
