Yeah, it's nowhere near Davenport. Likely a shout-out to somebody in the audience (it's a well off area) or an In Joke.

Rehearsals in 2002 were held in The Concert Hall. It’s located at the corner of DAVENPORT ROAD and Yonge Street. Hence, Davenport Road.

Yeah. They were all set up at Crescent School but when Chuch died they moved to The Concert Hall/Masonic Temple.

After a respectful deep pause, as this is the first time to learn of this fact,
and still -----
I clicked the IORR link you posted, assuming it was a RIP thread.
Instead, dates and set lists.
Pray tell
are those actually true practice setlists??? As in, the RS played these songs in that order, 2002? Is that what that is saying?
Thank you ---

as best as was known at the time. I think those setlists may have been information provided by an insider who was posting as 'Toronto Tom', on another fan forum, Shidoobee,
but i aint sure about that..

That whole Licks 2002-2003 blows my head off.
For different reasons.
Thank you-----

One of my favorite boots ever - this would be a great vault release. Heart of Stone and Torn and Frayed were among the rarities played that night.

The Licks tour was amazing due to the many club/theaters shows played, plus the overall format of theater/arena/stadium...something for everybody! I think I only paid about $75 face value for Vredenberg and Stockholm cirkus, and maybe the London Astoria was bit more. I made a trade with my friend and IORR/Shidoobee member Ed "Rooster" (one of my Vredenberg for one of his Astoria)so don't remember exact cost, but defnitely a fair trade where we both came out winners.

This Palais Royale show would totally make a great official vault release, as would the Vredenberg show. There's some high quality footage of the latter from a Dutch newscast, but don't know if the entire show was filmed.

I remember talking with BV in Vredenburg about the shirt from that concert.

In Vredenburg, I remember BV complained that the blue color of the shirt was the color of Norway. Then I heard Dirk Snapper complain that the shirt should have been orange, the color for Holland.

I thought the color match the artwork perfectly but I'm an American. I had 'no dog in the fight' as we say here.

I have that t-shirt exilestones - my all time favorite Stones shirt!

I'm also American (w/Dutch roots), and I heard no complaints from anyone about the blue haha...most people were too happy to be at the show!!!
And if memory serves, most, if not all of the other '03 Netherland t-shirts (Amsterdam and Rotterdam shows) were indeed orange !

edit: IORR/ Shidoobee member Fred Hardin made some customized Amsterdam shirts - white with Amsterdam/tongue logo - my second favorite Stones shirt. thumbs up
There were also some customized "Stoned in Holland" t-shirts I had a small hand in designing - the tongue logo with a spliff hanging out the mouth - my third favorite Stones shirt. smoking smiley

I see some mentioning this as a «rehearsal show». It was indeed a club show, with Bono guesting, if memory serves.

Fantastic setlist.

On my Aragon-bootleg there are a few bonus tracks from Palais Royale. That might be why...

Please post a pic of that shirt you guys made. I'd love to see it!

Yeah, Vredenburg was a great show. It was strange the Stones played Going to a Go-Go there.

I'm not sure that would be considered strange as they were playing a lot of covers/old nuggets throughout that tour in clubs/theaters. What was starnge was when they played Saint of Me which was one of the highlights amongst many in attendance. Everybody singing the chorus, the song ends, everyone still singing "I said Yeah, oh yeah" to the point that the band almost restarted it all over again. One personal highlight (of many) for me was seeing the play Dance Pt. 1...smokin' groove of a tune when played live! The entire show was a highlight - I floated in the clouds the entire time which actually began the day I bought the tickets. Along with my first Stones shows in '81 - it was the absolute all around best experience.

As for t-shirts, I think Fred Hardin used the Amsterdam design he made as his signature pic here (and shiddobee), although I haven't seen him post here in years. As for the "Stones in Holland" shirts, I'll dig through my sacred archives in storage and dig one out - I still have a few of them in various sizes from over-ordering. Will eventually take pics of both and post. (I thing there used to be a favorite merch/t-shirt thread...will have to search that one out)

Doc once wrote that he saw real film cameras at the Vredenburg.

Therefor real HD footage could be transferred from the master reels. Of course a SD BluRay like Totally Stripped is great but getting a real film transfer would be awesome.
