I believe Ronnie and Sally own a home in Barcelona which might be a factor also.

I am drawn not to Ronnie's drawings/ portraits/ sketches of any RS members, but instead his paintings in the greens/foliage yellows/patio daylight outside,
and the dark vivid blue painting of Keith Richards alone sitting guitar-
when Ronnie goes deep in the colors/paint.
True admiration how he's kept up his craft, prolific tenure.

I suspect Dylan's art work may fetch a higher monetary value.

I have to say he has gotten a lot better. The ballet works are not bad.

Do we know a date of event in Barcelona? Is it also 21? I didn't find anything on Piccaso Museum site.

They're not bad, but they're basically crappy copies of Edgar Degas (1834-1917).

Generally speaking, I'm not a big fan of Ronnie's paintings. The colors he uses are either too loud or too dull, the derivativeness of various styles, the lack of capturing correct facial expressions and proportions, and some of them look like he copied/traced directly from photographs. If he wasn't a famous rock star, not sure how far he would have made it in his art career.

I absolutely agree with what you say. His earlier 'work' was great as noodlings, and liner notes; but not as serious pieces. They were always way too close to the photographs that all of us know.
And I agree on the colors too. This is why I thought some of this stuff is a bit better. At least it is not rock stars.

I’d rather buy some sushi or pizza. I think he’s very talented but I don’t think he’s in, say, Hieronymus Bosch’s league and since it would never occur to me to purchase any of Hieronymus’ work why should Ronnie be different?
Now I would happily advertise his work if he plastered it on T-shirts – Yes a satisfied customer I would be looking mighty cool with one of his band depictions on my chest.
A free T-shirt with Mick's new singles would have us buzzing too.

I find the lists of songs that Ronnie writes down with the noodles and humorous extras he makes each time the Stones play a session/rehearsal/live gig etc. more interesting to buzz about than a free T-shirt coming with Mick's new songs.

Edit: Mind you, Ronnie started to do this a long time ago. Remember the innersleeves of GIMME SOME NECK and I GOT MY OWN ALBUM TO DO.

His artwork for I FEEL LIKE PLAYING is also great.
