T I always found it strange that "waiting on a friend" "Live Midnigh Rambler." a pretty big hit in the states was not on forty licks but "has anybody seen my baby was." A bomb and all around bad song.

Not to forget "Don't Stop,' was.

Forty licks is mainly the singles.
Not fan favourites och liveclassics.

Mainly, to me there was no "all around bad song". It's all the Stones man. But it's a matter of taste.
Everybody likes Rambler, but how long is it? Ten minutes? If they included it, it wouldn't be forty licks on the album then, understand?

If singles waiting on a friend was singles hit in the states

So to have Don't stop but not Waiting on a friend made no sense

You points on midnight rambker are well taken

In fact wating on a friend made number 13 in the states

That's better than "Streets of Love" ... :-(

I think forty licks could have contained more old materila instead of bad pop
