Very nice. I think possibly that's "Anita's friend" setting up equipment and then sitting at the edge of the stage. Looks like it might be the same distinctive chin.

So the 70 European tour was the first time they used horns on stage?

Yes it was. Love it when on that Euro tour they would do the horns on "Love in Vain" and "Stray Cat Blues".

At the very start of this clip did anyone see Charlie off to the side with the reporters, and a notepad in hand. Then when it pans over to the group, Charlie is indeed missing.
I always thought that that conference was already in Malmo. Maybe they are getting ready to hop a ferry over to west coast of Sweden.
What I've seen so far of this clip looks great. The Euro 70 is my favorite tour anyway!

Is all the footage from Hamburg?

The black and white footage is from Hamburg and the colour footage is from Milan (Charlie is even wearing an AC Milan football shirt). There was a nice DVD silver disc out about 5 years ago from the Milan gig - about 30 minutes in total.

Private footage from the following Stones tours can be found being offered on Ebay or ioffer quite often:

I've seen 8mm footage from the following tours:

European tour 1967 - from memory I think it is from Poland
Milan 1970
MSG 1972
Wembley 1973
Earls Court 1976
The Hague 1976
Brussels 1976

They have to release a concert from the 70. What a fantastic tour it was.
The concert at Essen (1970-10-07 Grugahalle, Essen, West-Germany) was brilliant.

Agreed.

Perhaps not brilliant. But a cool gig.
And outside the water-guns were waiting . .

I view that tour and that whole era as the ultimate sweet spot for Rock and Roll. It's the classic early setup where there is a line of amplifiers behind the band and two speaker towers on either side. A basic stage and a few spotlights and that's it. The front-row audience is just a few feet away from the band and there is almost no security. It was a glorified high school auditorium setup, which is just fine. And the Stones are belting out Brown Sugar which wasn't even released at the time!

The whole experience just doesn't get any better than that and of course the band had that amazing '69-'70 sound and they were still young and the creative juices were flowing. It would be amazing if there existed a full concert in decent quality from that era. And in retrospect it was all so short and fleeting in time.

Sigh...
