I thought it would have an early release in Japan today and the rest of the world will have its release one week later on July 28 (with social media promotion and the upload of the promofilm starting a few days earlier, to let the world know...). But now I'm also not convinced anymore, that this will be the timeline for this mysterious release.
The real artwork for the single is on page 13 of this thread (the businessman-look artwork was a fan-made fake).

I thought someone would pick up on that(!) I still like to think Mick is 90% exciting artist 10% business man, but maybe the reality is the other way round(!) Maybe 50/50 - probably only Mick Jagger could pull off being both...
Agreed, he does an amazing job of doing both, he always did, even throughout the drug years, he still kept his end together, otherwise The Stones would have definitely burned out.

The lyrics are current in a political way. The song might be outdated by the time the next album is released so he put it out now as a small solo project.

Maybe this is an April Fool's joke in July? My Japanese Wife says the HMV link is for members about information to be deleted in July. Nothing about music download. Wish it were true though. I like those lyrics.

I popped the CD and vinyl in to my Amazon wishlisr a week ago, went back to check it again today and they've both dissapeared. Were Amazon far too presumptuous?

Mick's single consists of two songs with clever political content as well as a plea to a love interest, as far as I know. The songs won't be on next year's Stones album because they are too current.
