I should know this but I don't. Is Mick doing the female voice on that track? Thank you.

And it seems he didn't do it until one of the final takes.
There are outtakes , with the musical backing all in place; but Jagger still is not doing the falsetto part.

Not sure, but was this the first time that the Jagger falsetto was employed in public on a recording? It sounds as if he might have been a bit shy of using something that became a valuable skill. No Dear Doctor, no Emotional Rescue or Worried About You....

Thank you all. I just revisited the Doctor after a long, long time. What a great song. Funny as hell.

And it's Brian on harmonica, correct? One of his last contributions?

Most likely. It's certainly not Mick.

It might be Dave Mason as he was at the session, but is sometimes credited with acoustic guitar, but there's only one and it's obviously Keith. I contacted Dave and he seemed to think he did play guitar on it.

When is the starting point for 'last contributions'? grinning smiley

On Harmonica that is, yes.
Contrary to the myth, Brian was playing and contributing a good deal on Beggars Banquet:

Sympathy For The Devil - backing vocals.
No Expectations - slide guitar
Dear Doctor - Harmonica
Parachute Woman - Harmonica (Mick plays outro harmonica)
Jigsaw Puzzle - Mellotron flute (confirmed by Keith and several others)
Street Fighting Man - Sitar, Tambura
Prodigal Son - Harmonica
Stray Cat Blues - Mellotron

Aren't there two guitars a couple of places in the song? Two harps as well?

Just one harmonica, seems just one guitar as well.

If there is another guitar, it must be very subtle.

If memory serves, it is indeed very subtle, and we're talking about two small licks and only a few seconds.

Then again, my memory isn't what it used to be...

Dave seems to think he played guitar on it, so maybe it is there. thumbs up

With Dave Mason, comes major rock ‘n’ roll history

Then there’s Mick and Keith as in Jagger and Richards of the Rolling Stones. Mason befriended the Stones’ Brian Jones, which led to his being in the studio with the Stones during the 1968 recording of their transformative “Beggars Banquet” album.

“The Stones were Brian’s group. He started them,” Mason said. “I played the bass drum on ‘Street Fighting Man.’ It was me, Brian and Charlie (Watts) playing drums. I got to play the shehnai (an Indian reed instrument) on the end of ‘Street Fighting Man.’”
